The perfect base to visit many of the beautiful Cotswold villages.

The decor in the room we stayed in could be improved upon although it didn’t bother us as we were not in the room much.

The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed both the cooked breakfasts and two evening meals. The chef did a brilliant job of freshly cooking the meals and the wait was not long at all. The ambience in the restaurant was also very pleasant. The local villagers who frequented the bar area were also very friendly which gave the hotel a welcoming and comfortable feel. We loved Blockley and would describe the village as the most peaceful place we have visited yet perfectly located to visit many popular places in the Cotswolds. Thank you for a lovely couple of days.

The was Lound banging coming from next door from the wall! The room was not checked daily. Our cups were left uncleaned after our morning cup of tea. We had to ask for more coffee and milk. Then more toilet paper!

Clean place. Nice breakfast and evening meal.

The room could have been cleaner - wasn’t sure surfaces in room had been “disinfected” before my stay all bathroom was fine. Could see marks on mattress undersheet although all beds linen was high quality and clean. Lack of choice of cereals for breakfast. Very importantly fire door on my corridor was wedged open always and therefore fire regulations where being breached, and the lead-in fire door to my corridor was obstructed from closing due to carpet pile. The hotel needs a “fire inspection” by the authorities.

Comfortable bed and very helpful and pleasant staff. Full English Breakfast good.

Crown Hotel only place for evening meals but close enough to other villages for more options. Hotel quite old and furnishing a bit dated.

Good location easy driving distance to Cotswold attractions. Accommodation clean. Spacious room with comfortable sitting area. Pleasant staff. Onsite parking.

Bathroom a little cramped with few places to put my stuff or hang a towel to dry. Room would benefit from a room spray or similar on arrival.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff so welcoming and friendly. Lovely village location. Great bar with excellent cocktails and a nice atmosphere.

The building is quaint which is part of its charm but the floorboards caused the wardrobe to make interesting noises! However, once in the comfortable bed the wardrobe was thankfully silent!

We didn’t book breakfast as we were going to a special lunch so this was great.

Had to leave early and breakfast didn't start until 8 am not the usual time we are used to i.e. 7am. Parking was a little difficult to access at the rear, very steep and a tight bend at the top but managed ok. As with many hotels no matter how many persons they only ever supply one case stand, results putting cases on beds, furniture or on the floor : ( .......... here there wasn't one at all. Could do with a little t l c here and there.

Hotel was very clean, bed and bedding was spotless, owners and staff were very helpful, nice menu suited to many diets.

Lovely old inn, great food and location

The one issue we had with our room got sorted very quickly. We were at the front, and above our window was a bright light illuminating the inn's attractive facade. The curtains were quite thin and after the first night we asked the staff if they could please turn the light off as it was difficult to sleep! So they did and we slept much better for the next two nights. Some blinds plus dark, thick curtains would maybe be the solution.

The Crown is situated in an excellent location for touring the Cotswolds - Blockley is a secluded village to the south of Broadway and Chipping Campden but to the north of Stow and Bourton-on-the-Water. It is a really nice old inn with very friendly staff. The cooked breakfast was excellent , as were the two evening dinners we had - one in the bar and the other in the restaurant. The menu was interesting and included a very reasonably-priced three-course Sri Lankan supper, all served very promptly despite the number of diners (the only other pub in the village is closed early in the week).

Several areas need updating- chairs in dining room had ripped upholstery, broken faded decking at back sun terrace- this is a lovely area to sit. Poor signage to dining room, bar area and doors to get to room outside main building. Room above number 25 needs something done to floor boards or noise cancelling underlay. Noise from people just walking across room horrendous and kept us awake.

Liked the family room and dining room set up. Room spotless Friendly staff Food tasted lovely Parking on site good Lovely location

The hotel looks exactly like many of the properties in the Cotswolds. If you want to experience accommodation specific to the area, it is a very good option in terms of quality-price-experience. Breakfast is continental or English, the rooms are small but charming. I liked it a lot, it was a beautiful experience.
