Lonely room and comfortable would recommend this place

Last minute booking due to work and excellent service from friendly staff. Rang me on way down to let me know for only served until 20:30 but to be fair I wouldn't have been there until gone 21:00 . But good of them to ask and let me know

It’s a lovely old building. We had a nice big rim and big bathroom. All very comfortable. Nice pub and restaurant. Really lovely view off the terrace area.

We were a little disappointed with the food. The Thai curry for lunch wasn't nearly spicy enough, and the same applied to the spicy sharing platter we tried for dinner - not really spicy enough for us. Breakfast was good though.

Nice location and value for money. The breakfast was nice and enjoyable not too busy . The staff was helpful and made the stay relaxing. We had dinner because in the location there wasn’t a great deal of choice, but glad we did really nice food and affordable

Thank you for hosting us on our recent visit to friends and family in Sheffield. We found the staff very friendly and welcoming and the accommodation clean and comfortable. We stayed for breakfast which was great and very generous. We met up with friends in the restaurant for dinner. Our friends really enjoyed their meals but unfortunately my wife’s and mine were a little disappointing. On the whole though, I would definitely recommend Cubley Hall to friends, and the setting in the Penistone countryside is super

Nothing. For one night, including breakfast ,it was great.

Only booked one hour before arrival . However the young lad at reception knew of our stay, booked us in, offered to take our bags and took us to our room. Breakfast - was excellent . Self service on toast, cereal, tea and coffee with service on cooked. We opted for a full English which was excellently cooked. As a very last minute booking we only went for a small double. However we we pleased with the room .

We couldn't have been looked after better and had a wonderful stay. It was quiet and relaxing and gave us a chance to recharge after a hectic day. The evening meal was tasty and the portions large. They looked after me well as I have special dietary requirements. Breakfast offered a good choice for the cooked options. We had poached eggs and they were cooked to perfection. We loved our room and the view. Staff were attentive without fussing over you. It was good value for the price and we will definitely be back.

Difficult to think of anything we didn't like. A hook on the back of the bathroom door and an anti slip mat in the bath would have been helpful.

Only 1 very slight criticism... the bar was shut by the time we got back... maybe not a bad thing, I don't need much encouragement to sit up late, drinking beer 😆

Charming old building in quiet country surroundings. Good value, the menu looks good although we had already booked dinner at a restaurant in Stocksbridge, but breakfast was exceptional, cooked to order, quality ingredients. Good pint of beer before we headed out, and reasonably priced. Staff very pleasant and helpful, needed an iron and board because I'd come straight from work, they were there within 5 mins with a smile! We are very likely to stay again when visiting family

We arrived on a motorcycle. So I was worried about the parking. There was ample parking space.and fairly secure. It was off the main road. The hotel was perfect in every way room, staff, food, views, couldn't fault it at all . We worth a visit. Definitely recommend.

A little noise of door shutting and creaky floorboards, but nothing to keep us awake!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bedroom was spotlessly clean, as was the whole hotel. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and it was good to have a variety of places to sit to eat - inside and out. We would not hesitate to stay again.
