The house is a great mix of old and new. The building itself is really old, but has been decorated modern, whilst still having character and charm. The location is great and is pretty central to a lot of different things, whether it be the lakes or Barnard castle. The hosts are really friendly and are a credit to the property.

    We were completely satisfied

Cottage was immaculately clean, warm and well provisioned. Very spacious and cosy, the barn has been converted to a high standard and felt very homely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return again.

    Nothing we didn't like.

Beautifully appointed with everything you could need for your break, both bedrooms en-suite, 6 minute walk to the pub, very amendable owners. Free parking area & free wifi also included.

    Nothing

Dairy Cottage is in a great location with easy access to The Dales. The accommodation was excellent. Beautifully decorated with all the facilities you would need. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/cutlery/linens. Even tin foil and kitchen towel. All your cleaning equipment too. The kitchen also had a lovely reading nook populated with local books. The lounge was very comfortable and spacious with a lovely log burner style gas burner and smart TV. Both bedrooms had extremely comfortable beds with super bed linen. Both bathrooms were well appointed. One with a shower over bath and the other a luxurious walk in shower. Soft towels were provided. We had excellent communication with the owners who always greeted us with a smile and could not be more helpful. The village does not have a local shop but the co-op in Kirkby Stephen was only 10-15 mins drive away. There is however a lovely village pub which you can walk to in 5-10 minutes. All in all an excellent cottage. Any visitors will not be disappointed.

Dairy cottage was, without a doubt, the best place we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had struck gold! The owners are so friendly and go out of their way to make your stay a great one. The cottage was immaculately clean, cosy, welcoming and just perfect for our stay in every way. We didn’t want to go home! You will not be disappointed if you book Dairy cottage! We will definitely be back.

    Nothing to dislike

The property is done out to a very high standard. It is well equipped, warm and cosy with very comfortable beds. The owners have gone above and beyond with great attention to detail. This is a really lovely holiday home and we felt privileged to stay here. The village pub is very handy and serves excellent food. The location is ideal for walking and Mountain biking.
