Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomLack of choice on menu in bar and in restaurant- we had to go out for dinner. Only two items of toiletries in bathroom - last time there was a good choice. Hotel was quite empty (January) we weren't offered an upgrade. They asked (both times) on booking form if it is an occasion - both stays were for birthdays, but who knows why they asked really.

United KingdomUsed to be a little stricter with dress code, Nice place to have a meal but you do get the odd person sitting with shorts or a football top on. I think a pair of jeans should be minimal dress code.
Best steak in town, Really nice atmosphere in the bar and grill. Highly recommend to anyone, Staff are awesome and never had a bad night at the Dakota! Think I've stayed around 40 times.

United KingdomWindow size and lack of bottle opener in the room for the drinks in the fridge. You could see that previous guests had used the furniture to open bottles causing damage.
Extremely comfortable bed room was lovely. First time in that type of room. As regular visitors we are used to the great view however this room has a small window.
