How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

For the price maybe not a great deal in the room and decor maybe a little old but really isn’t an issue.
Facilities were great, location is brilliant, breakfast was good quality and tasty. Parking on site a massive bonus, rooms were of a very big size, balcony was a great bonus as wasn’t actually aware of them.

Queuing at breakfast. Some decor felt a little dated.
Rooms were very spacious. Lots of activities for younger kids. Staff was incredibly friendly and accomodating.

My room over looked the front it was a lovely view but when the music started in the bar it was terrible also it was so warm in the room I did have to ask for a fan which did help a little but to be honest I have been in better hotels and have not paid as much for the room
Good range of food but children running around everywhere crying shouting very warm and a little cramped for table space I waited for tea or coffee it did not arrive so went back to my room for a drink

Our balcony was filthy it had a pint glass on it full off cigarette ends . Also returned back to our room at evening and door had been left open by the maid

Cleanliness … the fact we booked a family room for 357 for the weekend and didn’t have a balcony and the room wasn’t clean in areas we also had an extractor fan outside our window that was making noise and no sea view .just included breakfast … after speaking to other people we realised we had been ripped off two ladies a lady and her mother had a family room balcony, sea views breakfast and an evening meal for 258. They had rung direct to the hotel.
The staff and spa facilities also the children’s entertainment

Took us a little to find the parking space for the car
We checked in on Saturday 11/05/24, I booked a spa treatment to be paid on site, It was a surprise for my boyfriend and the 2 lovely receptionists (2 young ladies, Sorry but I can't remember their names), helped me so much! I can't thank them enough! The neck-back-shoulder message was very needed and very relaxing. The facilities and the room were spotless. The bed was very comfortable, too.

Nothing to dislike about the dalmeny.

The breakfast items, eg bacon, eggs, mushrooms, could have been hotter. Selection was good but let down by the temperature. Limited selection of items if having a non-cooked breakfast.
Upgraded to a sea view room with balcony. The pool facilities were very good, with an Aqua fit session on the day I used the pool. However I did not have prior notice that this class would be in the pool,, could be an issue for some guests.

The only problem I had was pushing a wheelchair up the ramp at front of the Hotel.
The Hotel is in an ideal place.Situated across from the sea. Pleasant reception area, nice bed room. Comfortable bed, with white fresh sheets. The restaurant provided a fabulous breakfast to start the day. Spent the evening with a nice cold drink on the outside terrace looking across to the sea . Wonderful.

Not very convenient having check in time 3pm, the same time as the floats in the pool area. Bar areas were draughty and cold due to doors open at the front. Evening meal was extremely expensive. £12 for children's pizza? And £17.99 for burger and chips. I would think twice about eating here again, simply because of the pice. Breakfast wasn't as good as I remembered it from years ago.but was OK.
Hotel location is brilliant. Room was nice and comfortable staff were lovely and helpful. Children loved the pool and the entertainment in the evening. The games and prizes bubble machine, all very good touches. Children also enjoyed the buffet evening meal although it was expensive
