Shower water temperature wasn't consistent but fine.

Bedroom was large and airy with excellent bed and very nice bathroom. Very quiet at night, so had a good night sleep and very nice place to stay. Staff were pleasant and attentive.

While room itself was clean and comfortable, the Wi-Fi was non existent (room 3) from two mobile devices and a laptop. With the hotel's location being in a mobile "good luck" location (varied between E, 4G and 5G), I'd be wary of what room you are accommodated in should you be staying here on business. Apparently the Wi-Fi issue had been reported to supplier some time before and was still "being worked on"... As we only stayed one night for leisure, this didn't impact on our experience but may do for others.

Beautiful location in excellent grounds maintained to a high standard. Breakfast was excellent quality (and quantity). Room was comfortable and clean. Staff friendly not just on arrival but on all contact.

there look to be long standing road works and road closures in the vicinity so had to take a detour - not the hotels fault obviously!

Great personal service from the staff - I was arriving late and the duty manager phoned me to check if I was wanting food on arrival. Nice selection of drinks at the bar and Jacuzzi in room just what was needed after a long drive. Breakfast choice and service was also excellent.

Breakfast needs a bit of fresh fruit offered in the continental section, that would then make the breakfasts perfect! The antique bed in the room was lovely but the creaks it made in the middle of the night could do with a wee bit of attention. No real negatives, just wee tweaks to make it perfect.

Beautiful premises, attentive friendly staff. Breakfast excellent, and the option of dinner was an added bonus as it wasn't clear if this an option with this being a 'weekend filler' stay at a wedding venue. Great stay all round... THANKS !

I was informed at check in of the poor mobile reception within the property and given the wifi details but did find it to be inconsistent from the room.

Lovely comfortable bed, very clean room and beautifully quiet. Delicious breakfast and catered for my gluten free diet. Staff friendly and helpful

The WiFi in our room didn’t work so had to go to bar area which wasn’t a problem but would have been better if WiFi worked in room.

This is a grade 1 listed building and looked well maintained.....but hope the new owners don't lose oak panelling and other medieval features.A thing of beauty is a joy forever....It's loveliness increases with care and love.

A lovely breakfast overlooking the garden. Breakfast buffet with plenty of choice. Lovely big bedroom with very comfy bed. A beautiful historical place. Close to lakes...Roman wall, Eden valley. Never should we leave at all. ( song from camelot)......but how it makes you feel.
