Room would be too small if there was more than 1 of you, but for me ( solo motorcycle traveler ) it was fine

To be fair, we’d booked the cheapest room which was fine for one night. One of the bedside lamps wasn’t working, the other was ridiculously bright. There was no bath mat or hairdryer, nowhere to hang clothes and the bed was just a divan base on the floor. The bed didn’t have a headboard but the linen was clean and the towels fluffy! The tiny en-suite had a very small cloakroom sink so wasn’t big enough to wash your face in and was only just big enough to wash hands. The mirror and shelf over the sink made it tricky to spit out toothpaste without banging your head! The window didn’t shut properly but we did sleep really well, it was warm in the room.

Dartmoor Inn is in a beautiful location. There is a comfortable bed, a hearty breakfast and if you are a carnivore, gorgeous food cooked over fire in the evening. The staff are professional, helpful and friendly.

En-suite bathroom was small but we knew this when booking so just being a bit picky. Would have liked a bit of a buffet style breakfast (for juice, cereal and fruit) along with the cooked breakfast. However, the cooked breakfast chosen from a good choice menu was great. My fussy observations would by no means stop us returning to this lovely place.

Great location for walking over the moors, lovely food and very friendly staff. Easily checked in to a nice little clean room with view over the moors. I would call the Inn a steak restaurant really (other choices are available) providing a super evening meal. I believe it's a 'cook your own steak' for Monday's and Tuesdays, so just look out for this if that bothers you...Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Fabulous base to walk on Dartmoor. Great food (their own organic steaks a specialty but offered great fish and vegetarian alternatives). Staff very friendly and helpful. Room comfortable and clean. Super breakfast.

Lack of choice of evening meal on a Tuesday evening and mixed feeling about having to cook your own steak. Did enjoy the meal , though felt it should have been cooked for me. I understand better choice on other evenings. No TV in the bedroom.

Amazing stay!!! There’s such limited availability on Dartmoor- if I’m honest I booked thinking “that will do”. Fantastic stay- such wonderful, polite staff and the food was unbelievable. We are genuinely considering the 3 hour round trip for another steak haha! Room was big, comfortable with the most lovely view to wake up to. We particularly liked the geese in the bathroom window! Would 100% stay again and have already recommended to friends. Best steak we have ever had. Thank you and see you soon :)

The property is in a great location. Staff are really welcoming and accommodating. Fresh milk and a home made cookie were a welcome touch.

Just be prepared that the rooms are located above the restaurant/pub area and there was a bit of noise as a result but it didn’t bother us.

The inn is located in a beautiful location in the National Park so perfectly situated for walks. The room was nice and clean. The staff was very polite and attentive. The best part of the experience was undoubtedly the food - both dinner and breakfast were just AMAZING! The quality of the food was unbelievable and the whole place just had a lovely feel to it. I had creamy scrambled eggs for breakfast and it was so delicious that I’m still trying to replicate at home with no success. Very lovely stay overall.

The en suite bathroom had a loose toilet roll holder, cracked basin and missing mirror, all of which I suspect had happened recently perhaps by someone falling into it.

The breakfast was amazing! Fantastic honey sausages, which I'd never had before but would definitely have again. We also ate there in the evening and would definitely recommend it - rump steak perfectly cooked on the open fire in the restaurant.

Nothing to complain about really as far as dislikes but we do know certain people might have issue. If you were a vegan or vegetarian with different ideas on being in areas that serve meat then you may not like the fact that there is a lingering smell of meat in the restaurant bar area or that the meat fridge is on show. My partners vegetarian and I pescatarian and we didn’t really have an issue with it. Our room was very comfortable bathroom very tiny and you had to back up onto a step to use the toilet and there was no mirror as previous people had complained about but it’s not a problem. There’s a mirror just outside in the bedroom and the bathroom has what you need shower, toilet and basin. So if mobility is an issue or one’s size warranting a bigger bathroom then check before you book.Otherwise take this wonderful place for what it is a lovely countryside experience.

The location was fabulous in the moors. The staff were unbelievably friendly and couldn’t help you enough. It had a farmhouse feel to it. The pony was allowed out of his enclosure to potter about the lawn where the outside tables for drinks were. The owners dogs were roaming with chickens and geese. it was very relaxed. The breakfast was sensational and included in the price.
