How the staff managed problems: At arrival sign said that meat was not available for breakfast due to fridge not working/issue. We asked if we could have a complimentary drink for the inconvenience and we were given a voucher for our drinks with no problem. The heater in the room was broken and was blowing cold air only. We asked reception for an alternative and we were given a electric heater and assured that the room would warm up very quickly, which it did. Parking has gone up from £5 to £7. Holiday Inn provide a code to reduce it back to £5.

I didn't like the fact that car parking was charged separately, and would prefer it to be included in the same bill. Was sometimes hard to find staff at front desk and no bell to press.

Room was a bit cold on arrival. Took a while for air con to warm up room. That was only thing but minor issue.

Paying for parking, cooked breakfast looked like it had been recycled. The bacon was like leather, sausages looked like they had seen better days, if you want a topping for your toast, there was one jar of jam, marmalade & Nutella to share….

We had to pay for parking in addition to the cost of our room. As we bought a pet with us, we were charged a "non refundable deposit" for our dog. Please be honest and call it what it is - it is a charge A deposit suggests that it will be refunded. £25 for one night was a little excessive - the dog cost more to stay that the humans (on a per head basis). Breakfast was plentiful, but a little limited in choices and sausages were slightly overcooked.

The room was lovely and clean, and the hotel was surrounded by food venues so it was easy to find somewhere to eat. The staff on reception were helpful and wifi was included. We were given a little bag with a few treats, a ball and poo bags for the dog.

I turned the air con off as we didn’t want to sleep with a constant hum. However despite it being off regularly throughout the night it would make a loud noise. We have stayed at this hotel before and never had this issue. It therefore meant that both me and my daughter had a sleepless night. I also found the English breakfast disappointing as no hash browns, mushrooms or a tomato. What was served was nice but just not what usually expect when hoping to enjoy a special breakfast.

Overall facilities, location and parking was good. Staff helpful. Plenty of options for breakfast.

The housekeeper forgot to clean my room. I had the sign hanging on my door, saying that the room is ready for cleaning. The air conditioning seems to have some issues. It blew out cold wind inconsistently when the temperature was set at 25℃ in December.

The reception is nice and helpful.

Despite it being listed on the breakfast menu, sadly there was no granola to be seen anywhere :-)

The staff is just great. Both the reception staff and cleaners are just are very friendly and always willing to help if they can. The whole 'look and feel' of the hotel is modern, practical and welcoming. With the breakfast included, it's the best value for money in the city at the moment

Too expensive for dog to stay at 25 pound each dog. We had two Also lots of people in their dressing gowns or PJs in restaurant area both at night and in morning. This is unacceptable people should be asked to wear appropriate clothes

Car Parking machine - absolute nightmare (for me). Wouldn’t allow me to book 5 full days - only 4 ie 20 quid! Attempting to book my last day ie 26-27th Dec., wanted £20! Even a helpful receptionist with lots of tries ie “backspacing” gave-up!! Dispute ongoing!!

The charge of £5 to park in the large car park for a resident I felt this parking charge should not have applied but I paid it reluctantly
