Great host, great room, great breakfast

My mattress was quite pokey and certainly needs replacement, but this is not something to turn me off from going back. Minor issue.

Great location, very neat and tidy, great facilities, off street parking. Optional breakfast was great and really good value. Mike, the host, such a gentleman, and nothing was too much to ask for. Great size rooms, will definitely be back

It was all good.

Lovely guest house with welcoming hosts. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and there were lots of thoughtful extras, especially the fridge with fresh milk! Breakfast is an optional extra, but it is great value and well worth consideration. We had a very comfortable stay and highly recommend. Thank you.

Road noise and no heat overnight until 8:00am.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the Deri Down. Our room was lovely with everything we could possibly ask for. There was an added bonus of spa products...moisturiser, lipbalm and body lotion in our ensure. Breakfast was delicious either a lovely choice of breakfast cereals, yoghurt, juice and a beautiful cooked breakfast. We were made to feel very welcome and given excellent recommendations on restaurants , try the Crown and the Hunters Moon....delicious food. There were loads of brochures on local tourist attractions also. Thanks a million Mike and Mel

Honestly absolutely nothing wrong with the property.

The guest house was impeccably clean and the hosts were so welcoming. The room was fully stocked, everything you could want. Breakfast was really tasty and excellent value.

Nothing that we didn't like the like about the property. It was so quaint and beautifully decorated. The room was very modern, comfortable. With lots of space for storage. The bed was incredibly comfortable. No conmplaints at all.

Me and my partner loved how welcoming the hosts were. On arrival and leaving. They were so accommodating and friendly. The property is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Perfect for a night or weekend stay. We were visiting the Skirrid Inn. And chose this as a place to stay as it was the neatest accommodation. The price was fab and we couldn't have expected more. The room was absolutely superb, very clean and comfortable. With plenty of storage and lovely bathroom facilities. Large bath and shower, huge mirror. Tea/coffee included in the room. We had breakfast in the morning with a wide range of choices. Fruit, cereals etc, The cooked breakfast was 10/10. Both hosts were so lovely. I would definitely recommend Deri-Down Guest House if you are visiting Abergavenny.

This is a family-run guesthouse which has been very nicely renovated. We booked 2 rooms which are on the 1st floor (not ground floor) so there's a short flight of stairs to contend with. The host was very welcoming and helped us with our luggages up the flight of stairs. They provided extras (eg. the bath had a brandnew bath sponge for our use) which we were not expecting and really made the place memorable. The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. Just for information, the double room has a bathtub and small fridge (the twin room only has a shower and no fridge). I would book again if I was in Abergavenny.

Large, well appointed room with excellent en-suite. Clean, comfortable, safe and secure. Very good breakfast that although not inclusive was well worth the small charge. There was nothing to dislike about this property. The owners are delightful people who make you feel most welcome. First choice for any future visits to the area.

Location. Is perfect for reaching centre of Abergavenny and road network. Very clean and comfortable spacious room with great ensuite in a beautiful house. Breakfast has lots of choices and nicely prepared. Host was lovely and very helpful. Shame I only stayed one night but as I visit family in area I will go back.

There wasn't anything I could say that I didn't like. Everything was up to a high standard and it was really nice.

The room was really clean and came with a lot of very nice and helpful accessories. It was comfortable and in the morning the breakfast was fantastic. It was a safe area and I felt very relaxed while being there.
