Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

France- in August, the room was very hot. It is possible to open the windows and make some fresh air but the hotel is near a very loud street. Earplugs strongly advised if you come in summer. - the shower evacuation was blocked and water could overflow if we used the water for too long.
- The hotel is located next to a under/overground station. Very convenient to reach London, especially the East part (20-30min) - The room was clean, the bed comfy, towels and bedsheets were supplied - the landlord was super nice! He gave us info about the surroundings and even borrowed us a UK plug adapter (mine was broken)

United KingdomNo lift, elevator or disabled access. We had to struggle with carrying a heavy suitcase up flights of stairs. The hotel is by a busy road and gets noisy at night when you're trying to sleep
The room was clean and neat. Comfortable beds with clean bedding and towels. The staff were polite and pleasant. Not bad for the price. We only stayed one night There was an Iron and hair dryer in the room which was very much needed. Had a small fan in the room which was helpful given the weather at this time of the year

United StatesIt was hot, clammy and loud. There was a fan, but it wasn’t enough. You couldn’t open windows at night because it was on a busy road and near the railroad tracks. The stairs getting up to the rooms were steep and dingy.
It was clean and the host was very nice as me wanted to make sure we were comfortable. There were waters and juices in the fridge and some snacks. The room itself was clean and the sheets and towels were clean. The beds were comfortable.

United KingdomThe location is nothing to scream about but as I’ve said it’s the perfect distance from the transport links.
Perfect distance from Willesden Junction and surprisingly comfortable. Very accommodating and friendly staff. We were extremely comfortable and the staff were brilliant, we accidentally left a couple of bits behind and they’ve posted them out to us. The rooms were very well stocked with water and snacks and the bathroom had shower gels and body lotion. The reception is a part of the lovely corner shop which had everything we needed for our trip.

Czech RepublicWe didn't see the owner or the operator at all, which is nothing unusual these days, we just wrote to each other. And it wasn't a problem.
Despite all the negative reviews, we chose this hotel to accommodate our 15-member group of young and old football fans. When you don't have exaggerated expectations, there's nothing to complain about. The accommodation was exactly as we imagined. But we didn't go there because of the accommodation rating on Booking. The authenticity of the place is simply priceless. The many restaurants of different types and nationalities that we visited locally, the amazing Guinness at the Engiens bar that we had every day, the English breakfast at the station restaurant or the Afghan cuisine! You simply won't find that in any Holiday Inn. And everyone was smiling at us and very friendly. You just need to get to know a lot of places and not judge them based on reviews or reviews. For getting to know a different London than the center around Big Ben, this place is absolutely ideal. I'll leave it up to everyone to take it in their own way.

United KingdomNo welcome, no contact number, no tea, coffee etc. TV kept loosing signal, didn't feel safe, as I was alone in the building with no way of contacting anyone and no instructions on what to do in case of a fire. Didn't make it clear Wi Fi cost extra and very expensive. There are very few shops or restaurants in the area and I certainly wouldn't have wanted to walk about late at night.

United KingdomKettle or side lamp didn't work. On closer inspection, one socket was visibly blown. The only working socket was attached onto the wall but was wobbly. My husband is an electrician, and didn't feel that the electrics were safe. Very unnerving especially as we were staying with 2 young children. We were kept awake all night by neighbours who were still talking loudly at 4am as walls were paper thin. Then were woken at dawn as the blinds were see-through and only covered part of the window.
Very close to Wembley Central.
