We loved everything about our stay except that finding the property was difficult. A sign out the front or a more detailed description of the location would have saved us alot of frustration. The accommodation itself was exceptional.

We underestimated our challenging walk from St Ives to the accommodation, and the owners, Chris and Helen, kindly picked us up from the lighthouse before it got dark! We were so grateful.

Perfect digs for a cozy break. Lovely walk down to the coast, everyone we met in the area was very friendly. And the place itself was flawless. The view is spectacular. It has all the facilities you could need. Really warm and cozy, lush bed, a great little kitchen, awesome shower. Altogether immaculate presentation. And the muffins were scrummy! 11/10

Only that the wind chimes outside the bedroom window kept us awake as it was such a windy night. I appreciate that others might love this sound though 😊 We loved staying here so much that we looked at summer availability but unsurprisingly it's been booked up by others who also fell in love with this gem of a cottage!

Clean, warm and well-equipped. The location is absolutely stunning and really convenient as a base for touring this part of Cornwall. It was magical to watch the changing seascape from the comfort of the cosy living area. We really appreciated that it is dog friendly and loved the little touches like dog treats, binoculars, muffins and milk in the fridge and a little bowl of sweets. The kitchen has everything you need and the wifi/tv were great! Comfy bed and hot shower. Absolutely perfect! Really lovely hosts too. Their communication was just brilliant!

There was nothing to dislike.

We loved the location and the proximity to the coast path. Good pubs and facilities in walking distance or a short drive away. Also loved that the place had everything you needed so you didn't have to go anywhere. And the muffins that were there on arrival were very tasty and dog friendly was a bonus, too. Thank you.

Lovely cosy accommodation and the views were stunning. The accommodation was so clean and well equipped. We booked one night but ended up staying two as it was so quiet and lots to explore near by. The food at the commercial locally was delicious recommended by the host of the property.

Stunning outlook to the sea from a clean, comfortable cottage that’s been fitted out very well. I would have been happy to stay here for several nights! Great access to coastal tracks and historic tin mines.

We enjoyed Distant Lights exactly as it was and found everything 'perfect' for our UK road trip stay. We would have liked to have stayed a few more days to explore the area in more detail.

The property was located in a peaceful rural setting overlooking green grassy paddocks, the ocean and chimney stacks of two former tin mines (both offering guided tours) just down the laneway and ruins of a third just up the laneway. So rustic and located in real Poldark country with the Cornish coast and the coastal track few hundred metres down the road. Ground level accommodation adjoining a larger residence with private entry from the lane with space to park just outside on side of the lane. The apartment is tastefully presented with great layout and relaxing homely ambiance and with fully self contained well equipped kitchen and washing machine. Bed very comfortable. Good instructions from host for access. This two night stay was perfect and idyllic for us. We met the hosts and they were so welcoming and delightful to chat with. This was one of our favourite accommodations out of the 26 places we stayed at during our recent UK road trip.

The property was perfect in every way. We were walking the south west costal path and it was the perfect stop off point. Clean, warm, comfortable. Nicely decorated. Just a great place to stay. Couldn’t fault it. Would recommend it 100%.

It's not big deal, but would be nice to have some shampoo and bodywash in the bathroom.

Cottage is in very beautiful Historic location with lovely view. Very quiet, nice and original decor. Modern kitchen has everything you need for self catering, nice bedroom, good quality shower. Owner of the place was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

The mattress is very old, you can feel the springs, it's not comfortable at all, it's time to change it, it was really uncomfortable. The sheets are acrylic and very old and worn out.

Nice welcoming muffins the house is weirdly built but overall nice and clean, well equipped kitchen with everything you need to make a meal plus washing machine, nice location right in front of the sea and the coastal path
