Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAbsolutely outstanding stay, exceeded both of our expectations. Amazing host and nothing had not been thought of. Wish we could of stayed longer. Beautiful secluded private location but not too far from Aberystwyth if you want to pop in to town for food or a few drinks. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be returning. Ben & Courtney

United KingdomReally would have liked to use the outdoor bath but there is no canopy. This is the only qualm I have! A retractable canopy maybe so it can be enjoyed in summer as well as winter?
Really lovely finishing touches all throughout the cabin. The attention to detail is second to none. Really cosy and homely. The bathroom is amazing-such a luxury in a cabin. Log burner very efficient, so much so we had to sleep with the windows open in the middle of October 😂. Loved being greeted by the chickens each morning. Little welcome pack was useful and the kitchen literally has everything you need.

United KingdomNothing. We loved it.
Very lovely facilities, and staff. The cabin was of a fantastic standard and hand crafted by the owner so great pride is taken in it, It was my birthday and they accommodated my partners request and even provided flowers. Also left some local honey and the nicest apple juice made from their own apples. Had a great 4 days and would definitely be back again. The outside bath was a extra special touch. Thank you

United KingdomI don’t think there’s anything we were left wanting!
This place is a real gem and thoughtfully designed for a tranquil experience. If you are looking for quiet and relaxation, this spot is ideal. You have a private cabin next to an orchard and chicken overlooking a meadow with sheep. Very private and the cabin is modern to the point of glamping perhaps being the wrong word for it! The the living space is small but has a lot of storage and all the basics you need. The bathroom is modern with a shower and hot water from a gas boiler and the veranda can be used in any weather. Bed was very soft and comfortable with blackout blinds on every window. The thoughtful welcome you get is great: clear instructions for everything, milk, bread, local honey, coffee and apple juice. The outdoor bath is was a particular highlight after dark with fairy lights and listening to owls hooting in the dark. I stayed with a close friend and would say you can only stay as a couple or with a friend you don’t mind clambering over in bed. There’s a fabulous pub in the village and otherwise it’s a short drive to Aberystwyth and shops. Do pay attention to the directions they give as some of the roads into the village are steep and windy. Overall a magical stay!

PolandLiterally nothing. It really was perfect.
Our expectations were pretty high and yet this cottage exceeded them! One of the best accommodations we've ever been to. It has all you might need and more. Hosts clearly thought about the smallest things, making this small cabin extremely spacious and cosy. Starting with appliances, through comfortable furniture (loungers for appreciating views, outdoor table for nice breakfasts and barbecue), all the way to fresh flowers and some greeting beverage. And most importantly - the hot bath under the stars at night or peaceful green fields through the day. Idyllic!

United KingdomLeaving.....I could have stayed longer, in fact I extended my stay by one night as it as so peaceful, nurturing and comfortable.
I fell in love with the cabin as soon as I stepped inside. Skilfully and lovingly hand crafted by Peter, with so many individual nuances in the internal structure, with truly luxurious fittings - a comfortable bed with Egyptian cotton sheets & Welsh wool blanket, a well kitted out kitchen - everything you could want of the highest quality, a good sized bathroom, with large shower, fluffy towels and a warm towel rail. Inside was exquisite, whilst outside was peaceful, well thought out: I enjoyed warming by the chiminea at night until 10pm-ish listening to the flow of the stream which runs down the middle of the sweet meadow, whilst watching the sunset change the colour of the trees. The meadow homed sheep/lambs which were very entertaining. I stayed 5 nights and managed 5 outside baths.....keeping the body submerged within warm water whilst watching the dark night sky/stars was truly food for the soul. I found a deep reservoir within me of peace whilst staying at Dôl Swynol and will, without question, return - a bit later in the year to experience it in a different season. Marion and Peter were thoughtful, helpful, attentive but not in the least bit intrusive. I read 2-3 chapters of all the books on the bookshelf which were completely in sync with the setting.

United KingdomHonestly there is nothing to not like!! And if I was to really be picky... I would say the only bit of improvement that could be made is for the outdoor tub to be sheltered a little more for it to be suitable for all weathers... but not a problem how it is now as it didn't stop us having relaxed soak in the outdoors!
The experience itself was exactly what me and my other needed and it succeeded all expectations!! We thoroughly loved every minute of our stay in the glamping cabin... it truly is glamping... it had everything you need and the owners were amazing, nothing if needed was hassle ! Looking forward to our next stay !

United KingdomThe location of the cabin isn't as private as we had expected. It felt very much like we were staying in a garden (the neighbours house, not the owners), which made for using the outdoor "private" bathtub a very uncomfortable experience as it is in full view of their house and it is very close by. The chicken coop/orchard area had an electric fence surrounding it, which was not obvious until we spotted signs a day after we arrived (it was very dark on our arrival and we were not told about it), which is an issue as it is running alongside the walkway to the cabin. There is not an oven at the property, only a double hob and an electrical item called a 'Remoska', which is something to consider if you're going to be using the kitchen to prepare a meal. The only real issue we had was the lack of privacy as we did not expect to have people able to see us using the facilities deemed private.
The cabin itself is absolutely beautiful, and attention to detail is evident throughout the accommodation. Very warm and cosy, with a selection of welcome gifts and fresh flowers available for us upon arrival, made for a nice treat. The views from the cabin were incredible, and we enjoyed our morning coffee watching the chickens wandering around in the orchard. Pete was a welcoming host with plenty of useful information about how best to enjoy our stay in the cabin and the surrounding area, along with being on hand nearby if we needed anything.
