Pillow’s selection was not to our preference as we like firm pillows. 2 pillows on each side of the king size bed, all were very soft in our opinion. Bathroom extractor not strong enough, snug bathroom, would have preferred more space in a shower cubicle , we didn’t have a bath and it appeared to be narrow which made the over bath shower feel like a small space

Great room 431, nice quiet location at the end of a corridor. Unusual shaped room, spacious and airy unfortunately no window in bathroom and extractor didn’t cope with steam very well. Comfortable bed and chairs, tables and plenty of extra lamps in the room. Clean bedding and towels.

Having to pay £8.50 to park on the hotel car park ( 1 night stay). Room was dark due to tv right in front of window which blocked all of the natural light. Empty cups and glasses and an empty glass rose bottle and a kettle just left lying around the 2nd floor corridor on the floor for our entire stay was even there the morning we checked out.

Excellent location close to the centre of town. Comfortable bed. Waiter opened the restaurant early for us as we had an activity booked for 7pm.

It’s rather dark and very brown. Time for a face-lift perhaps? Air conditioning was rather random in the way it functioned

The staff were lovely and sorted out the extra 2 nights we requested due to the unexpected discovery that Crowne Plaza was shut because of a fire - something we didn’t discover until we arrived. They managed to accommodate us in the same room for the 3 nights and were very efficient.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing. The hot buffet wasn't hot enough and the food wasn't fresh enough . Parking was expensive.

The staff were very polite and efficient but didn't engage with us much, particularly at breakfast when we hardly saw any staff members on the floor until our plates were cleared. The choice for breakfast was good but the hot food was only luke warm and, at the time we ate, the bacon and sausages were quite undercooked. We only used the lift on arrival as it seemed quite rickety and didn't inspire confidence, particularly as the second lift was already out of order! We found the room a bit too brown and dark but, in contrast, the bedside lights were too bright. The two large armchairs looked stylish but were very uncomfortable and much too low for people of a certain age!

The room had everything we needed. It was easy to walk into town, the shower was good and very easy to use, the magnifying mirror in the bathroom was very useful, there was plenty of clothes storage. We appreciated the warm biscuits we were given on arrival.

Choice in restaurant poor. Breakfast was good but little problems like plates too hot to hold and no napkins to hold them with. No small plates for toast or small containers for jam.
