Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomEating as a vegetarian or pescatarian diet didn’t offer much and was overbooked and oversubscribed and overpriced. However staff were helpful and informative.
The staff were very helpful and friendly despite it being their busiest time of year. Great location for the theme park obviously.

United Kingdom- The kettle in the room had limescale on the outside bottom, we didn't use it but it is worth mentioning. - The hand gel dispensers were due for a good scrub at the top. - I appreciate that the hotel is not responsible for what happens outside at Drayton Manor Park but considering that the park has a very large amount of wasps going around (and that's an understatement) I think it worth suggesting that the hotel should consider having a First Aid kit that could include antiseptic cream and antihistamine tablets or liquid for treating minor allergic reactions to bee stings (or other insect stings). - My daughter was stung by one at the park and due to us being on foot I had to walk 20 min to and back to the nearest pharmacy for treatment since the hotel couldn't help us. Will have to include that on my travel bag next time.
- The room was spacious and cosy, it was just me and my teenage daughter and a single bed was provided in addition to the double bed, we didn't use it but I appreciated the thought. This was an executive room. - We had a mini fridge which was quite handy. - Aircon was working effectively as it was hot outside. - The bathroom was clean, spacious and enough towels were provided. - We slept very well, with no outside noise and neighbour noise from other rooms. - The hotel looks inviting and the staff was very friendly and professional. - Our luggage was kept before we could check in and we went to the park. - The breakfast was your standard continental, I loved the atmosphere in the mornings, with lots of children and happy faces. - For dinner, we choose the buffet, I had to reschedule a few times the booking for it and the staff was very understanding. - The food at the buffet was a pleasant surprise, very appetising and a good variety as well. - Outside space was large and good for a stroll after a long day at the park, with plenty of seating and play areas for children. - We loved our morning Crazy Golf visit right after breakfast and before the park was open, for free. - We loved everything about it and would gladly come back again, very family-friendly, and we 100% recommend it.

United KingdomIt would be nice to be offered free upgrades or a reward system for guests who Stay often. I’ve never been offered an upgrade or perks and I’ve stayed here loads of times. For example Holiday Inn offer me late check out for being a member. And there is one 10 minutes away from Drayton I stayed there the night before I stayed at Drayton.
I always stay here the breakfast is nice and the rooms are nice. And I like the tea and biscuits in the room. The man on reception at night was very friendly and helpful.

IrelandComing from Birmingham International you can get a train from Birmingham New Street to Tamworth and a taxi from the train station to Drayton Manor which I believe is the easiest and cheapest way to get here if you have no car.
It is a great location for visiting Drayton Manor theme park. A visit by Sir Topham Hatt to our breakfast table each morning was really enjoyable for my two boys. Staff at reception were very helpful. Food was tasty and our room was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay

IrelandThe park as I made a mistake with my park tickets. I booked day before and had to change. I was charged full price on the day for 2 special needs despite the fact I was staying in the hotel and had documents from ireland. I also paid a £10 cancellation fee and £10 booking fee. Several rides were not working but was not made aware of this. Felt ripped off. You need a nimbus card for additional needs .
