Nothing. The only slight negative was our room was quite hot at night. A/c appeared not to be on but we just opened a window

Loved the location and the staff were fantastic.

Very pleasant two night stay in an ideally located comfortable hotel but bar staff could do better.

Bar staff were a disappointment. If they weren't reading their mobile phones, they were engrossed in other unimportant tasks (e.g. struggling to remove a cork from a bottle of wine or talking to each other) rather than serving customers. I ordered a bloody Mary with the vodka dispensed without the use of a measuring cup, the amount poured (right in front of me) clearly falling short of an actual measure. Frankly, the bar staff came across as somewhat aloof, which marred the overall experience of the two night stay.

Pleasant and comfortable bedroom suite. Pleasant and accommodating reception and restaurant staff.

Our room was cold; a small electric heater was the only source of warmth, clear that the rest of the heating was not working in the bedroom and bathroom.

Clean and well appointed. Lovely furnishings; large and comfortable room. Quiet location and easy to walk into town

The heating wasn’t working in our room. However I haven’t marked down because the lady on reception was so kind and helpful. She brought us an electric heater and offered us a different room. In the end we stayed in the original room and the electric heater was perfectly adequate.

Breakfast was excellent. Best was flat white machine and banana bread and stewed fruits. Service was friendly and helpful. My husband really enjoyed the full English. Room service on arrival date was also excellent. Delicious.

Nice restaurant but disappointing vegetarian option - however we were not charged for it which was good

I liked it all, the only downsides I could see were: 1. The parking was a bit limited, I ended up parking some way away from the hotel although in the daylight, it was dark when I arrived there is a public car park next to the hotel on Quayside Poole Car Park. 2. The hotel is in a charming and quaint building. Its worth staying there just for the amazing mural that faces you when you walk in the entrance, however the rooms are upstairs and round corners. If you have mobility issues check first and make it clear on your booking that you have them. 3. The food was a bit average, considering the hotel is an amazing boutique hotel the portions were a bit small and do not live up to the stunning nature of the rest of the hotel. I would eat out if I stayed again.

The room was exceptional, extremely comfortable, I slept like a log in the very comfy bed. The bed itself was huge and the mattress like a dream. The bathroom was amazing, bright, huge and ideal for a weekend away with your loved one. The staff were really really good, helpful, attentive. My room was a little hard to find, see below and the receptionist led me to the room so that I didn't get lost. The team in the restaurant were really friendly and made the restaurant worth visiting.

The fire door left open outside our room kept us awake with banging.

Dinner was exceptional with plenty of variety and good portions. Thanks to reception for organising the request for a room with a walk-in shower. It was somewhat surprising that the bathroom was a full wet room.

No ventilation in room, we were given a ground floor room, which was an adapted room at the rear of the hotel, we didn’t need this style of room, we booked a standard double, the room had no windows, only the entrance door and the air conditioning was not not functioning so it was most uncomfortable sleeping without any ventilation. The room also had a wet room, clearly meant for someone with mobility issues, which we don’t have, so again disappointed not to have a regular bathroom.

Food quality and service was outstanding

The bar & restaurant is lovely but its pricey and the food is ok but no more than a good pub

A beautiful old building in the centre of the old town near the quay The public rooms are full of character well furnished and very cosy a deluxe room is extremely spacious, very quiet, very clean and ours had two huge windows overlooking the front, I really don't think you need a suite
