The staff were very welcoming. Every staff member we came across were exceptional and couldn’t recommend the place more. The facilities were modern and clean. A beautiful view from the balcony overlooking the Isle of Arran.

Having to walk to the facilities. I presummed I'd booked a deluxe bedroom. When arrived it was a lodge. It was fab but my hubbie is waiting a knee op, so distance was an issue.

Only problem was rude women in bar for breakfast. With the whole bar empty she wouldn’t let us sit at a window seat. As she said a big group was coming. Not one other person entered the bar for breakfast. Unnecessary power trip of a woman to leave sour taste in mouth after nice stay.

The staff at breakfast weren't too friendly or accommodating, and the food was a little disappointing.

The lodge was spotless and very well thought out to suit everyone. There was plenty of room in the shared space for our larger party to feel comfortable. We loved that each room had its own bathroom. The showers were great. We really loved the accommodation.

Everything was great about our stay, majority of staff were so friendly except for one of the waitresses/bar staff on during breakfast (Sunday 24th March). She made us feel very uncomfortable when she singled us out and asked us to move sections; her colleague had said we could sit anywhere we wanted to in the restaurant and after watching us choose & get settled into our table after getting our food from the buffet, she asked us to move as we were “residents and this was only for golfers, so we should be in the brown seats”. I explained how we weren’t aware and her colleague hadn’t said there was a specific area for us to use. Her attitude & facial expressions during this conversation (when she told me how many golfers were expected that day, even though at this point the restaurant was half empty) was what ruined our breakfast experience and made us feel as though we were beneath some other guests or customers. Overall the breakfast wasn’t great, very cold and not what I was hoping for given the cost of an overnight stay.

Location and layout of rooms being outside was great and different from a usual hotel experience. Staff on reception and in the shop were lovely.

Upon arrival my partner went to use the toilet and discovered a poo in there which made me wonder if it had been cleaned. The floor of the room needed sweeping and washing as we picked up bits (maybe dirt or sand?) on our bare feet. Apart from that the room was lovely. Would have been nice to have fresh coffee/tea served at breakfast rather than a tasteless urn. Even though there were a couple of things wrong we would definitely stay again as had a great experience.

The staff were fantastic in both the hotel and the golf course. So friendly and helpful. The food at the Canny Crow was amazing and reasonably priced.

Minor niggles. The lodges were cosy and the heating efficient. The duvets however were so heavy and uncomfortable. Far too hot. Also have to say that the chairs in bedroom aren't really very comfortable or relaxing if you want to sit and read by the patio doors, or chill with a cuppa. There is tons of room so a couple of small armchairs would be much nicer.

Staff were efficient and friendly throughout, from restaurant to pro shop, and the food was excellent. Lodges are very chic, with comfy beds, room is very spacious. Shower was great.

All rooms are outside in lodges, however the clubhouse closes at 10 , when you are given an alternative number to call for assistance with anything. Whilst still open I called the clubhouse twice, I couldn’t get a response. I left an answer machine message twice. Nobody returned my call.

Room was lovely , clean modern and well equipped. Clubhouse was fantastic.
