The property and facilities were amazing. The staff in particular were friendly, knowledgeable about the area and facilities and couldn’t do more for you. The food was absolutely fabulous as well. Definitely one of the best breaks I’ve had in years.

The bar closed early, and we were asked to leave because it was quiet, which was a little annoying when you're staying there and there was no other option. The rooms were hot, no air con, only a small fan for recirculating the air, so a little uncomfortable for sleeping. Prices in the bar/restaurant were a little steep and the same menu used for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was generally a menu choice (albeit a good variety of options), with cereal and orange juice were the only non menu choices. If you wanted a croissant, something hot and fresh fruit, then each were individually priced items, so it would've been ridiculously expensive compared to a buffet option if you didn't have breakfast with your booking. There were no other juices or fresh fruit freely available either, although I'm sure they would've provided anything if asked. Note that the room pods are in the car park a short walk from the clubhouse. They each have a patio area but no view of anything. It's a self contained golf resort so you need a car/taxi to go anywhere else. No point in staying here if you are not playing golf.

The golf course is epic, a great layout, beautifully kept and presented. The room 'pods' were well appointed and cleaned each day. The pods are very close to the clubhouse brilliantly convenient for golf. The clubhouse and restaurant are top notch, great facilities and service was generally efficient. The food was lovely, the tikka stack burger particularly epic. Staff were excellent, friendly, polite and helpful. As a golf resort it has pretty much everything you need on site.

Access to gym wasn’t with room access card. No towels obvious when using sauna and steam room.

The accommodation was convenient to the clubhouse facilities. The room was spacious, comfortable and the coffee machine a welcome addition.

Rooms were unconformably warm during mild weather. Lack of room service. Competing with non hotel residents for an evening meal. Also could've done with more instruction for housekeeping, as we seemed to struggle to get clean towels and toiletries - but a call to reception later and they were delivered promptly.

Beautiful location. Great staff. All very modern and high end. We were not there for golf, had we been, it would've ticked alot more boxes.

My only 1 criticism would be the lodge was very warm. We did have a fabulous dyson fan but still struggled with the heat. Could maybe be doing with air con in these rooms

Last minute getaway from it all and we weren't disappointed. The accomodation was excellent with the addition of your own outdoor space. From check-in to check-out the staff in all areas were friendly and welcoming. Food in the restaurant was delicious and there was a great choice of breakfast next morning. Will definitely book again.

The chairs and tables outside in the sitting area of the accommodation could do with a little clean but nothing else to fault.

Everything from the exceptional warm welcome by Michelle and the team at reception to the room and facilities were fantastic! The accommodation doesn't look much from the outside, but we were blown away when shown the inside. Spacious and comfortable with all mod cons, including Dyson Air fan, Sky TV and Nespresso machine made our stay one to remember. We will definitely be returning to stay at Dundonald Links.

Maybe an air freshener or Reed diffuser in the bathroom as no window to open. Also the room was really warm and the fan wasn't great we had the door open up till sleep time though so not all bad.

Breakfast was lovely. Partner would have liked beans though 🤣. Loved the outside seating area but I think for non golfers some of the rooms should have hot tubs out back to enjoy the surrounds and view even more.

Everything was perfect but I would say our room was a tad warm even with a fan next to the bed.

Dundonald is the perfect base for a golf trip in Ayrshire. From the staff to the facility and especially the course, everything was first class! The courses gets better every time I play it and is a must play for any golfer coming to Ayrshire.

The temp was exceptionally hot ((25 degrees +) & the ventilation in the room (pod) was poor. A fan was provided but this was insufficient to cool the room. We didn’t feel safe to leave the patio doors open overnight as ground level & easy access for any intruders. We left the curtains closed during the day so the room would not heat up - however housekeeping opened the curtains ! Result - room was like a sauna on our return layer in day! Not clever, not considerate!

Normally free range balls for residential stays but due to GIS event this wasn’t available. A bit poor. All the pro shop had to do was check your room number.

The pods are excellent. Everything you need and very comfortable.
