The breakfast: a breakfast hamper left at the door of cereal, croissant and out of date fruit juice. My partner called in advance to let them know it was my birthday but there was no acknowledgement of my birthday.

Great value for money. Nice decor. Very good food in the restaurant.

Nothing loved my stay

Fantastic room was s wow factor very comfortable bed and bathroom was outstanding best shower ever. Staff amazing so helpfull friendly food was amazing crab ravioli starter amazing. Garden bar area super friendly. I was mud week so continental basket lovely but if you ho weekend you do get cooked. Lovely touch with fridge full of snaks and a couple of drinks .

Stylish room and a great Lancashire breakfast in the morning. We appreciated the little touches like drinks and fresh milk in the fridge. We would definitely stay again if we were coming to the area.

Only one minor minor point but valid. When entering and exiting (not through the pub) the hotel via the steps there was no clear pathway and a car was blocking so was hard to get past with luggage

The noise from the fan on the side of the building, I believe this is the kitchen extraction fan, would ask the question if this needs to be left on all night.

There was nothing that we really didn't like. The parking was a bit tricky with a large car but there is not much that can be done to improve that.

Warm & friendly welcome on arrival. Lovely atmosphere in the bar even though a local wedding was taking place we were made to feel very welcome. The room was lovely and clean and the shower brilliant.

The accommodation comfortable clean, spacious, and the thought given with free welcome drinks and snacks in the room. Excellent food on offer in the restaurant, usually on solo business trips. I'm mindful of the budget, but in this case the food was well worth paying more than I usually would.

Parking is sometimes an issue when staying over, but there is lots of roadside parking which is right next to the venue.

I visit the Eagle and Child often because I travel for work, and it's by far the nicest place to stay in the area. I've tried a few other places but none compare. The staff are always super helpful and friendly, the rooms are lovely, and the extra touches like a breakfast hamper, and the offer of 'bits you may have left at home', and even the pack of crisps. It all makes such a difference. Like home away from home.

The room but not so much the bathroom !

The lovely friendly staff ! The mini fridge with its contents ! Free! The shower needed attention in that it needed new grouting etc … but the bed and room was lovely and clean.
