This was my fourth stay and the food gets worse everytime. Such a shame as it used to be good. We ate elsewhere in the evening as food was so bad last stay. Breakfast choice was okay but quality of the cooked food was poor and inedible. I can only guess the hotel is struggling to find kitchen staff.

Lovely location and staff. Lottie was very helpful.

As the overhead rooms were not sound proof we were conscious our pet dog was attentive and at risk of barking. Ear plugs provided were of no value to her! Evening dinner service was slow considering how quiet the dining room was.

Friendliness was obvious from the 'top down' (We met the owner who likes to positively oversea all activities). The traditional feel about the main lodge was evident but the bed room was modern. Very warm and cozy. Plenty of grassy areas for our pet. Easy parking.

Room was clean but a bit tired… we were on a golfing break and there was only one three pin socket which was connected to the tv ….nowhere to charge phones, gps golf watches or golf trolley batteries.

Nice location… plenty of parking in large well kept grounds

Breakfast excellent and filling. Dinner very good but but too much food. Parking very convenient just outside the front door. Quiet.

The cleanliness and decor of our room were exemplary. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the sofa. All too often, only one comfortable chair is provided in double rooms. The hotel itself is in a quiet location, away from the main road. If we are in the area again, we will definitely return to East Ayton Lodge.

Dinner was very good and well priced, Cooked breakfast was poor. Fried eggs overcooked and had burnt riings around edges. Bacon dried out and hard and baked beans in a warm dish but cold beans. Toast was made with thin sliced bread so was hard.

We accepted that some items on the evening menu were unavailable but were surprised when the continental breakast option (items not included in the cereal buffet) was unavailable on our second morning.

Quiet location within its own grounds, spacious room and friendly staff. The issue we had with lack of hot water on our first morning was promptly resolved. A good breakfast was provided and evening meals were available.

The mattress was soft, clearly old and sunk on 1 side. The walls were paper thin. The shower would not stay at a consistent temperature. Breakfast selection was average. Poor value for money.

Not able to comment on restaurant and bar as restaurant closed on our one night visit. Good local pubs available but get very busy if Lodge restaurant closed. You have to have sympathy for any owner trying to hire staff in the current situation

Rooms are very comfortable and very clean. A good night s sleep too. Plenty of onsite parking and largely grassland grounds. A good choice at breakfast

The room smelt like a wet dog. The full English breakfast for £10 / person was a little small - one sausage and one slice of bacon - why they felt the need to serve the baked beans in a ramekin was baffling ( no prior warning of it being too hot to hold when l attempted to empty the beans out and burnt my hand )

Lovely Hotel and location, staff were all great.
