Did not serve food on Sunday evening. We had a wait of almost an hour for breakfast from the time of arriving in the dining room to the arrival of our food. The rooms are comfortable, but the property is quite dated in its fittings, decor and furniture.

They Advertised food Until 8:30 above the bar And 6.30 on the internet But they actually stopped serving at 4 o'clock on a Sunday And unfortunately by around 3 o'clock they'd run out of food and a lot of their guests had to go to different pubs for a meal

All the staff were lovely and very helpful the food was great the dog rooms where fantastic and a large garden to walk the dog

In the particular lodge we were in the radiators weren’t turned on, shampoo bottle missing from side of shower and noise travelled through the walls quite easily.

Lovely building, good parking for the rooms and restaurant. Rooms are a good size with good facilities, nice quiet area in driving distance of Scarborough. Located near other pubs in walking distance. Breakfast and tea had at the Lodge were brilliant food. Staff were great and really attentive.

Pleasant staff, warm welcome. Nice sized bedroom, good cooked English breakfast with waiter service. Easy to walk into the village centre where you can get an alternative evening meal

We weren't impressed with the two evening meals, which is surprising because we've not had a bad experience before. The meaty 'Full English' breakfast looked great but for two mornings from four the vegetarian alternative to real sausages, bacon and black pudding were a couple of those horrible vegetable things in breadcrumbs. Nasty.

A quiet hotel in a lovely location. The staff are exceptional. I return to the Lodge year after year and always look forward to my next visit.

The mattresses were a bit too soft. When staying in the courtyard room you could hear noise from people walking around in the rooms above.

Couldn't control the heating so the room was uncomfortably hot resulting in a restless sleep. Gluten free dinner options were better than expected, however breakfast was pretty inadequate really very few options so it was disappointing thankfully I travel with snacks incase of this as I understand it can be difficult to cater to dietary requirements. But when food that is safe to eat like a hash brown is cooked in a way that makes it unsafe, there's room for improvement really.

There was only one member of staff and they were trying their best to juggle reception, serving food and run the bar. They were however very helpful and accommodating when you eventually managed to find them. The mattress was a little tired and not very comfy but I still managed a quiet nights sleep.

Clean, nice location and historic house. I will stay again. Meals were good quality and well priced. Breakfast more than you could ask for. Staff member very helpful.

I'm disappointed that there we're no food options on a Sunday evening and the bar wasn't even open for residents when we came down at 7pm. This meant we had to walk to the local village and we would of much preferred to stay on site.

We arrived to find a funeral wake taking place. Lots of very noisy people filling the lounge and bar area. We were told that the restaurant would be open from 6pm. When we went to the restaurant there was no availability till 7pm as we were told that they were very busy. We agreed to wait and at 7pm we ordered our food. We waited a further 45 minutes and when I enquired the waitress told me that our food had not been started. I cancelled our order. The waitress apologised and us complimentary glasses of wine and crisps to take back to our room. The breakfast the next morning was very disappointing.
