We would’ve loved glasses or cups in the room for water but sadly we didn’t have any. The same goes for any surfaces such as a table to put things on top of. Having to pay for hot drinks on a separate floor was a bit of a let down.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The high ceiling, exposed brick, and wooden plank ceiling were definitely the highlight of the room. It was in a great location as we didn’t have to walk too far to get into the heart of the city centre.

The walls in the hotel are very thin. This would not usually be a big problem, however we had very noisy neighbours on the first night which kept us awake for hours. However, when we complained the next day, the staff were keen to deal with the issue promptly and we had no issues the following night. Additionally, although the hotel was generally very clean, there was a small amount of mould in the shower which did cause us problems as we are allergic.

The staff at the hotel are excellent. They are very welcoming, particularly the girl who checked us in and gave us a very good room for no extra charge. They are also very willing to help and were very concerned when we informed them about our noisy neighbours next door and dealt with the issue professionally. The hotel is also in a good central location and the decor is attractive. This is a very good option for muslim travellers as there is no alcohol served in the property. All necessary amenities are available and although the location is central, there is no noticeable noise from outside.

The only thing that I can really complain about was a poor night's sleep because of the street noise - maybe the windows aren't double or triple glazed in room 105? I will book again and maybe try and get a room on the other side off the Main Street?

The location was perfect for my visit. The receptionist on check in was exemplary (she needs 'golden handcuffs' to lock her in - pay her a lot! The room was compact but very clean and precisely what I expected - but I loved the high vaulted ceiling keeping original materials intact was a nice feature.

You cannot walk around the bed without taking your shins off. You have to go downstairs to get water, when there could be a water fountain on each floor.

Shower and bathroom definitely hadn’t been cleaned. I had been travelling all day and was too tired to tell them but when I mentioned on check out they said I should have let them know and they would have moved me rooms.
