Had to pay a deposit of £400 and 2 weeks later I am still waiting for the refund

The who ambience o the flat was poor. Not a very well maintained apartment. Looks like owner was not really aware of the damages to the floor. The bathroom sink was also blocked and I guess there isn’t a maintenance culture there at all. Great location which could be made better if well cleaned. One would have expected an apartment that charges 400 quid as deposit aside the cost of booking, to be a much more decent place to live. Sorry, but this experience was awful and I hope they take great care to make it habitable.

It was complicated to check in since we had to wait for someone to open the building main door for us, no one was there to check is in. The owner is hardly available to answer questions. 400 £ deposit does not makes you comfortable at all .

Floorboards were all creaky and looking like they were splintering and coming apart. Shower water temperature shifted back and forth between hot and cold. Window blinds unable to operate. Light from outside made it very bright, which affected sleep in the morning. Lots of noise just outside of the window, foot traffic as well.

Short walk to tube. Bed was comfortable.

The £400 deposit is excessive and doesn't come back into your account for a couple of days. Maybe a little overpriced for what it was.

Ideal for a gig at the 02. They kindly allowed late checkout in the morning

Poor customer service and the apartment was incredibly old that needed refurbishment. I was asked to come before 6 so I arrived just after 5 to find all staff had gone home for the day and I'd need to call another resident to get into the building (they didn't answer). I literally had to follow someone else into the building to access the apartment.

awkward for parking. no tea/ coffee supplied as shown on booking page. apartment was scruffy and grubby- needed refreshing with paint, blinds replacing and kitchen cleaned! The bed was uncomfortable and pillows awful , not at all refreshed for a drive home- glad it was only one night.

Strange pipes sticking out of the bedroom floor and sharp nails in the floorboards. Having to pay a £400 deposit however it was refunded quite quickly but unusual for booking.com as I’ve never had to pay one before.

The appartment was not very clean. Sticky areas all round the kitchen and living room. The whole floor was sticky. Additionaly the floor needs definitely some renewal, it is damaged at many parts. Also some windows are somehow not ok. Toilet was ok, but not complete cleaned and also some damaged parts around at the walls.

Host was very nice, and service oriented. Fast and easy communication through whats app. The location of the apartment is very good, near Brixton underground station and between Clapham and Brixton, thousands of possibilities do go out, having diner, etc.

there was street parking but only a small section could be payed for at a rate of £3.94 p/h for up to 4 hours. when staying overnight it builds to an unpleasant cost

the fact that we had to give a £400 security deposit (it was quickly returned) but I didn’t know about it until check in. I’d paid in full already, and they said the deposit was mentioned numerous times, and very clear. it wasn’t. also check in was done via WhatsApp, and not very professional. they couldn’t make it there in time to meet me so I was told to ring the doorbell of another tenant of the flat to let me in - they didn’t want to for security reasons so I had to wait for someone leaving to hold the door open. then I found my key under the doormat of flat

walls were so thin it was ridiculous you could hear absolutely everything even the floorboards creaking from next door. communication was also very poor from the owner

We booked for 3 people but the flat was ready for only 2. No bed sheets and towels for 3. the flat wasn't very clean (the kitchen not at all). for this price, it was a disapointment.

the place looks quite different now no carpet, pipes coming through the floorboards, no futon, one set of bedding, boiler sounds like a drill, door rattles when the wind blows and the place feels cold a lot, tiny bathroom with window that can’t be closed, very cold in February

the location is amazing, five minutes to central Brixton.

Had to tailgate someone into the property as we didn’t have keys to get into the main door of the building. No heating and boiler was broken so had to move flats. I also didn’t like having to pay a £400 deposit as I think this is unnecessary.

The lady I spoke to at Marble apartments was very nice and the location was convenient.

Apartment was dirty and bathroom full of mould. Smelly and not clean . Mould on the walls. Cleaning team need to do better job.
