Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe no touch key pick up was a little nerve wracking, I heard tales from people of not getting the full instructions they managed to get help but there were a few tense moments I was told. Maybe make more provision for support for new guests. Could use more sound proofing on room doors I didn't appreciate a 4am wake up from some slightly noisy guests.
Great location for Hull University visits. We only discovered this in her last year. Maybe worth advertising at the Uni? It was nice to park up and walk to the pub (old grey mare also very nice) for dinner with my Daughter. Building and grounds are lovely. If I am up that way again it would be my first choice. Fun sleeping in a nun's cell. You are isolated from the many surrounding shops & clubs which makes the experience quite calm. Some great but apparently underutilised communal areas a few murder mystery weekends or corporate events might make sense.

United KingdomI had trouble finding the entrance with sat nav! No lift at the property. I had to cancel my 2nd night due to unforseen circumstances, and the property still hasn't replied to me after 3 days regarding a refund.
The room was very clean and cool. I got a much needed good night's sleep after a very stressful day.

United KingdomCommunal shared kitchen was unclean and woefully undersupplied with equipment, so I could not make use of it myself apart from storing a few items in the fridges. The rooms could be improved with a chair and a desk or table; in my room there was only a tiny beside table.
Good location, very close to the University of Hull. Basic room, comfortable bed, good bathroom facilities, good spacious lounge area. Numerous shops and restaurants nearby, and frequent buses to the city centre. Grounds were quiet and peaceful. The place has a lot of pleasant history to it which adds to the lovely ethos.

SpainNobody in reception when you arrive, you have to use a pin code. Very impersonal experience and no toiletries in the bathroom. Would be nice if this was clear on the booking, especially if you need the bathroom!
Great location with bars and restaurants nearby. Very clean room with a comfortable double bed and a large modern shower. The building has lots of original features and modern designs mixed in. Lots of history and the grounds are nice and quiet. Excellent value for money, but don't expect 5 star luxury.

United KingdomWe travelled by bicycle. The only secure storage is to chain one's bike to the accomodation access ramp guard rails which are presumably intended for use by people with mobility issues. Many bikes are secured in this way. Needs proper covered storage with bike stands. Most if not all guests were friendly however a iniebriated Polish lady repeatedly slapped her husband (or partner) on the lawn in front of the main entrance yesterday evening. Endsleigh should not be a location where any domestic violence is tolerated and night security should be aware.
Peace and seclusion within a busy city setting. Rehabilitated former Catholic teaching college campus retaining many original features. Not an "hotel" in the accepted sense. More an upmarket youth hostel. Self catering with excellent kitchen facilities. Good standard of comfort and excellent cleanliness. Lovely gardens and apiary. Unintrusive staff, self check-in with keybox. Night Watchman. Friendly staff.

United KingdomKitchen got very busy at tea time, lots of people all trying to cook. Plenty cooking facilities , but short on utensils, plates, glasses etc., and what was there was often rather bashed up, stained saucepans and spoons for example. Not nearly enough cutlery, glasses, mugs, plates, bowls, serving bowls, spoons to sustain capacity occupancy. I was in a party of nine, and there were other large groups of guests ... fighting over knives and forks. The social rooms were very hot because the conservatory windows were locked - and in full sun for much of the day - so not a lot of ventilation or through draughts. The fridges were both jam packed, and the freezer. We gave up trying to cook as had been our intention, because there was no available space to store anything perishable. Lots of cupboard space, but in hot weather no good for things like fruit or salad in a hot kitchen. Social rooms very echoing - could do with more soft furnishing to reduce reverberation - Huge rooms - but once there were nine people in the sitting room for example, there was no where else for the rest of the guests to go - dining room had two huge tables and pews - could easily seat 20 - 25 people but it got very noisy. Surrounding area a bit run down and scruffy and two local pubs really pretty grim.
Beautiful venue, lovely grounds. Comfortable bed, basic but clean. Interesting venue, history, lovely open space, large kitchen for self catering, super hot powerful showers. Clean towels on demand, kitchen cleaned by night staff every night to a very high standard. Kitchen OK. (i.e. four ovens, two large electric hobs, one microwave, two kettles. a rice cooker) - but not a home from home by any stretch. Anyone trying to cook a serious meal would struggle. Sainsbury's mini store and Lidl in close proximity, and several nice restaurants, (Indian, Greek and Pizza.) Good Polish supermarkets nearby. Good bus service to City centre.

United KingdomThe seating area was very limited and the sofas provided were well past their prime and in a poor state of repair
The hotel is a budget hotel run like a youth hostel with a communal kitchen and dining hall for preparing own meals. Really keeps cost of your stay low because you can prepare your own favourite meals.
