Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing not to like
Quiet peaceful location, easy access to areas around the Broads, spotlessly clean everything you could think of in the kitchen. Friendly polite owner & staff, nothing too much trouble, keen to ensure we had everything we needed.

This house exceeded all my expectations! The space is gorgeous perfect for a couples trip away. The owners went above and beyond to ensure we had all the information we needed, it was my partners birthday and they had even put banners up for the occasion. The location is perfect, 25 minutes from the town centre and 17 minutes from the beach! We loved our stay so much and will definetly be back.

United KingdomOne of the pillows had a small blood stain but I didn’t need it so it didn’t affect my stay.
The kitchen has High spec furniture and appliances with all the equipment provided and easy to operate. The contemporary style and open plan living space was great.

United KingdomBath taps need cleaning on the underside as they are very lime-scaled, and a couple silly things need replacing rusty kettle and washing up liquid dispenser

Love this property! Everything was spotless and very comfortable and modern. It felt very homely with nice soft furnishings, great WiFi and board games available. I liked the open plan layout of the kitchen/dining area/living room and all of the rooms were very spacious. It’s in a very peaceful location and is set back off the street for extra privacy. And it is definitely in a great location to explore the Broads as the title states. There’s a Coop just a 2 min drive away and a couple of great takeaways in Acle village too. I didn’t meet the host but her communication was great. I’d highly recommend this property! Thanks Nee

United KingdomIt's not a dislike, but the bedroom is down a couple of steps and the bathroom is up a couple of steps on the opposite side of the large front room. My wife is slightly disabled, and it wasn't an issue, but it might have caused problems for someone with greater mobility issues.
There is a lot more space in the main room than in other cottages in which we have stayed. Facilities are good. Parking is easy. Very good internet - which can't be said of some other cottages in which we have stayed in Norfolk. Two very large televisions. Nee was very welcoming and very willing to solve any problems - although there weren't any.

United KingdomThere wasn't anything we didn't like ,it has everything you could possibly need to make your stay very comfortable.
The little house was everything we hoped it to be, the owners Brian and Née we're very friendly and helpful. It's a perfect location for the Broads and the nearby seaside resorts. If we visit the area again we would definitely stay at the Little House.

United KingdomThere really wasn't anything at all. Such good value for money compared to a single restrictive hotel room.
The setting in its rural location was great for a getaway if you need peace, and time to breathe. The host Née gave excellent communication from the start of booking, unil leaving. The accommodation has a really spacious lounge/kitchen diner and had everything I needed to prep food. The bedroom was so spacious and bathroom lovely too. Beautiful surrounding areas too.

United KingdomSettee not terribly comfortable after sitting for more than hour or so. Despite the thick cushions think it had a solid base underneath, maybe a bed settee, but not comfy to sit for any more than couple hours. Would have preferred not to have heard at 8am the opening of adjoining garage/workshop doors on 3 of the mornings of our stay, an early wake up call we didn’t need.
Location was perfect, just as the title says, perfect for exploring the broads. Train station where you can get trains to Norwich and Great Yarmouth is just 5 minutes walk. Easy access to main roads too and bus routes too. Owner came and said hello soon after we arrived, other than that we were left to enjoy our holiday. We did need to ask for some ant control as there were lots coming in under skirting board. Owner did bring an ant bait trap pretty quick which did the trick, we didn’t see any after that. Local pub, The Kings Head 10 minutes walk away, think it has recently had refurbished. Another pub bit further 20 mins, Hermitage, but the third one, Acle Bridge Inn not really accessible on foot. There is a public footpath but you would have to wear suitable footwear/trousers as it was muddy and overgrown. Kitchen suitably stocked for cooking own food, but we ate out or had takeaways mainly.
