Not the hostess's fault but the shower workings were a bit difficult and I ended up scalding/freezing.

There wasn't a breakfast provided, but the welcome was wonderful, even though we arrived very late - and the beds very very comfortable.

The lodges are in a beautiful location alongside the river. We booked two as we had a family wedding in the area - Kay was simply amazing! Her communication with us in the leadup to the weekend was faultless and she was incredibly helpful throughout our stay - even going so far as to drive some of us to the wedding after dropping off our cars. The lodges are clean, have everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday (the welcome snacks and kitchen essentials are a lovely touch). The showers are great, a large lounge area is ideal for relaxing and the beds are comfortable, I loved falling asleep with our window open so I could hear the sounds of the river. Its a short walk to the river and into town - I'd recommend Littles Restaurant if you enjoy seafood. We'll definitely book again if we're in the area.

Lodges are located by the river however the river could not be seen because of the foliage. This could be cut back and maybe an access path to the river could be provided.

Lodge was self catering and was a good base to explore Perthshire. Short walk to a local pub and shops, weather was fantastic.

The accommodation was very comfortable and we were made very welcome. The owner gave us excellent information about the local area which helped us with some of the history we wanted to find out about. Loved the fact we were in a countryside setting but also close to restaurants.

It was stated that the lodge had a 'river view' which it didn't. The extra money that we had to spend for the dogs was not something I knew about and understood that two dogs were included (turned out that wasn't the case but this should be clearer). I also don't remember that being mentioned prior to booking it either (I could be wrong there). The additional work of stripping the bed was unwelcome. I appreciate it helps the staff but I feel that is part of what we pay for. No towels were provided and we had to bring our own. Not a huge issue but again I just begged the question 'what are we paying for' when I felt this should have been included. Please label a bin that we can put dog waste in. I appreciate it is in the pack, but I shouldn't have to read that to know where to put it. This is genuinely meant as constructive criticism.

The location was nice and quiet. I liked the balcony door that we could leave open and let the fresh air in and hear the birds singing.

Although lodge had 2 bedrooms the 2nd one was very small. Lodge was OK for a couple but would be cramped if more than that. Was expecting bigger area where we could walk within the grounds but was quite restricted. Not being critical but thought this might be useful to others wishing to book.

Lodge was super clean and very well equipped. WiFi was great too. Instructions for everything was there and good that the owners stayed on the site. Very eco friendly.

We stayed in the Isla lodge for four nights with our dog. The lodge was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed (with the exception of a dishwasher!) The bed was super comfy with a nice soft mattress - which doesn't suit everyone - but we had a brilliant sleep. Kay was super nice and informative. Lots of places to walk the dog nearby.
