Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSmall, quiet but really well maintained & located Armadillo Glamping Pods & B&B site in Aviemore. 4 nights in a cosy Armadillo Pod is probably similar to staying in a 2 berth motorhome with small freeview TV, small fridge, small washing sink & worktop with a kettle, neat wet room shower, loo & basin, clothes hanging cupboard & large, spacious under-bed drawers. The 4 pods had use of a separate 'Bothy' with communal table & chairs, worktop washing up sink, kettle, microwave, 2 ring hot-plates, hot water boiler tap, loads of cooking pans, utensils, plates & bowls plus shelves of fictional & factual books, many local maps, pamphlets & guides of the area as well as board games for those wet days indoors. Used it daily, good to meet other great guests, all of whom were foreign during our stay & enjoying their visit to Scotland & The Cairngorms. Hosts are very welcoming, accommodating & knowledgeable of the area.

United KingdomReally nothing to complain about. It was all perfect
Where to start with this question..... Ken & Gill..... natural exceptional hosts, friendly, chatty. We only stayed 2 days and left feeling like we were old friends! The attention to detail on the entire site is fabulous. Lots of little touches that made all the difference. The breakfast was outstanding, perfectly cooked, lots of choice. The electric car charger was a nice surprise, there's chargers in Aviemore but to be able to plug in overnight was a great bonus. The bothy is great, a lovely place to eat our tea and chill out. The location was perfect, just a short stroll into the centre of Aviemore We will definitely be coming back.

United KingdomThere was a slight smell of damp in the room but the owner did tell us about this and how to prevent it. We just kept our door open most of the time which really helped.
Very cosy & secluded was also a 10 minute walk from town which I liked, We also appreciated how much was on offer such as breakfast, dinner ect

PolandNo big issues. Keep it up!
Staying in a glamping pod is a kind of adventure, but pod's have almost all, if not more, than good hotel room. You just need to be a little smart as people designed it. Pods are cosy and well equipped. If something is not there, you will find it in the boothy or common room. Place is located in a side of the main road, so it's calm and silent. You can easily walk to all the shops. Owners are very friendly and helpful. You can feel like in your own yard! Highly recommended as a base to explore Cairngorms.

AustraliaThe pods were located in the front garden of Gill and Kens suburban home which was a surprise. They have thoughtfully placed the pods and a little bothy for getting together in their pretty garden.
Gill and Ken were amazing and so welcoming. They anticipated our needs and offered every kindness to make our stay enjoyable.

United StatesBe aware that the shower is quite small and contained within the toilet area. This wasn't a problem for us (so not really a "don't like" since it's very practical), but for larger people, may be difficult to negotiate showering. It got a bit "steamy" inside when damp or raining due to how airtight the pods are; again not a "don't like", but something, again, to be aware of as you may need to leave the door open for a while. That said, it never got cold inside; always quite comfy in fact.
Eriskay was one of the best places we stayed over our 3 weeks in Scotland! Ken and Jill were both inspiring, enthusiastic, and really fun hosts. The pods were immaculate and well stocked. The bed was especially comfortable, plugs were available your devices, a specialized coffee maker at hand, and both good lighting and privacy window shades inside. We had a grill available to us next to our pod and all the kitchen equipment you could use located was available in a common-area Brothy. This inviting Brothy was a really great area for meeting and getting to know other guests as well, which is always one of the more enjoyable aspects of travel. If you don't want to make your AM breakfast here, then don't hesitate to enjoy their home-cooked Scottish breakfast with the most amazing fresh baked goodies made by Jill herself. Ken went over the top in making sure we were satisfied with every little facet of our stay. Excellent location; minutes from Cairngorm hikes, multiple options for in-town supplies, coffee houses, etc.

United StatesThe shower inside the bathroom didn't dry out so when visiting the bathroom the floor was always damp.
We loved our hosts, so accommodating and helpful. The home-cooked breakfast was perfect. The shared kitchen facility had everything needed to host our own meals. The pod was laid out well and the bed was the most comfortable bed of all our hotel stays in Scotland (5).

United KingdomCouldn't have asked for a warmer welcome, such a lovely couple and couldn't have offered their help any more if I'd needed it. Giving advice to other people staying as well for good walks to take in the local area, I can't recommend this any more highly. Stayed in one of the pods and my wee daughter loved it so much and I'm sure I'll be hearing about our little Hobbit house for a while yet. Great location, nice n snug.
