The whole package! Carolyn and her husband exceptional hosts, quiet location with beautiful views, breakfasts perfect. We loved the fresh berries, muesli, mixed seeds, yoghurt - plus a full English breakfast. The bed was super comfy and room spotless. Location couldn't be better. Definitely recommend and would stay there again.

The hosts are very welcoming and happy to help with information on the local area. The location is beautiful and perfect for a peaceful getaway, ideally located for Hadrian's Wall, Corbridge, Hexham and many more local attractions. The room was clean and well thought out and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was spot on Great value for money

We were extremely well looked after by Carolyn and Lex Dowie who are very generous hosts. The house is charming, comfortable and beautifully warm (in contrast to our previous B and B!). Couldn’t recommend it more.

Carolyn and Lex were very welcoming and helpful hosts. The breakfasts were excellent, eaten at a large dining-room table which also accommodates other guests. The traditional farmhouse is set in pleasant countryside, along a very narrow and winding road off the A68, which goes through to the A6079 - so a bit more remote than we had realised, but we soon got used to it in driving to Hexham (about 15 minutes) or Corbridge (about 10 minutes) to explore these towns or to eat in the evening. (Carolyn has information about the best places to eat, including a good pub in Humshaugh, a short drive away.)

Where do I start The hosts were wonderful, Lex picked us up from the Hadrian's Wall walk route and dropped us back to the route the next day We pre arranged dinner cooked by Carolyn which was excellent Their ,18,th century home is spacious clean and comfy. Our room even had a bath which was so welcome after long days walking I would always choose to stay here again if visiting the area by far the best stop off our trip

It was great no complaints.

Location was idyllic. Peaceful but close to local sites and not too far from Durham. Hosts were very helpful and suggested local places to eat and also helped with best routes to avoid traffic.

If you have a dog there is a front porch or utility room for them to sleep. Some dog owners may find this difficult but our dog was fine and the owner does not charge extra for dogs which was refreshing.

Great choice, fresh fruit available every morning and homemade marmalade. Walks for the dog on the doorstep. The garden area is secure too. Bedroom immaculate and very comfortable bed. Excellent shower. Owners are very knowledgeable about area and places to explore.

Errington House is in Northumberland, about 5 miles from Corbridge, and convenient for Hadrian's Wall. It is a large comfortable house set in farmland down a small lane, and is very quiet as a result. The room was comfortable, and the hosts, Carolyn and Lex, charming and helpful. They are a fount of knowledge about what to see and do in the area, on hand with a welcome cup of tea after a day out. Breakfast was good, with a cooked breakfast available on request. Own car or other means of transport essential.

Warm welcome. Very comfortable spacious room in a beautiful house with a good breakfast in open countryside near to Hadrians Wall. Our hosts also offered us a delicious three course meal with wine for a reasonable price.

We really enjoyed the quiet rural setting of Erringron House. We were traveling to see history so we appreciated staying in a building that has been here from the early 18th century and was in excellent condition. The couple were very welcoming.
