The room was very basic and dated, and the breakfast was terrible. It looked like a children's breakfast with 1 sausage, 2 x bacon has brown and black pudding ...no mushrooms or tomatoes and vertly small portion for the money

It can look a bit tired from the outside on a grey day, but don't be put off.

The reception, bar and breakfast team were exceptional, really helpful and welcoming. I made a mistake on my booking that caused a couple of re-occurring issues for them that they were able to resolve without fuss or concern. It's comfortable and friendly and I loved the retro holiday inn feel. Nice breakfast and relaxed lounge.

Property was ok however when you come off the dual carriageway signs were a bit vague and I went into the back entrance first before I realised I needed to go out and back into the correct car park

Bed was slightly lumpy and getting towards the end of its life so suspect one or two more + rooms may have the same but it was manageable- double bed had a slight dip in the middle

The property is lovely really cute. Our room was spacious and comfortable. My only criticism is our room was not cleared in the 3 days we were there, would have been nice to have our cups and glasses changed, we did ask for bottled water but it didn’t arrive

The staff were extremely polite friendly and really helpful, especially David at check in and Andy on the bar. Made us feel so welcome

The bed was uncomfortable. The rooms do require refreshing and new carpets.

Breakfast was nice. The hot buffet was lovely. There was a good choice of cereal, pastries, hot drinks, juice and yoghurts. The room is a bit dated. There was a crack in the bathroom basin. Although my husband slept well, I found the bed uncomfortable and didn’t sleep well.

what i didnt like they didnt have any toiletries in the toilet and also no english buffet systen we had to order food .

I really loved the location and the view and the rooms that i got was next to me also staff was really good.

There was grime between the bath tiles and I wasn't told that the cleaners only do the rooms after the 3rd day which I thought was odd so I had to go and ask for clean towels on the 2nd day!. Oh and the lights above the bed weren't separate from the main room light, so when you turned the big light off, they all went off!!.

The room was lacking TLC. The bathtub was mouldy, TV remote was stuck together and the bed was a bit springy. The fan in the bathroom was noisy and the light fitting was harsh and bright. Having a bath with the mould was not very relaxing.

The staff were friendly, breakfast was fantastic and the shower was powerful. It's not a bad location and it was quiet at night so slept well.

The bed mattress needs replacing. They are thin and worn. Water was scalding hot, and needs warning near taps.

Very conveniently situated and has a large car park. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The Bar area was comfy. Service was a little slow in the evening as the barman doubled up as door security and reception. Breakfast was good though the menu was not clear. It only offered fried eggs until the waitress told us they could be poached or scrambled. Overall, it's a good place to stay. It could be a brilliant hotel with a bit of TLC. It just needs updating.

The hotel is rather dated and could do with some refreshment overall.

The room provided the basic requirements for an overnight stop. the hotel is conveniently located close to the motorway into Liverpool. The evening meal and breakfast were of good quality and the staff helpful and pleasant.

Fought the room was a bit dark and dour , felt like a fresh coat of paint wouldn't go missing , bright and vibrant colours would help the room and from a energy point of view not having to have the lights on during daytime would save you, breakfast was cooked well and very nice but the price was a bit steep and to be punished a extra 3quid in the morning if you decide also you may only have a bowl of cornflakes £15 for a bowl of cornflakes really, imagine a family of 4, nearly 60quid for breakfast dearer than the room

Seem a strange pricing structure for breakfast,was told when I checked in it was £12 but if I decided to leave it to the morning and see how I feel it was £15 , bit pricey if you only having a couple of Weetabix, think you need to look how you price breakfast

Our room smelt like someone had smoked 40 cigarettes A joint room with someone who kept their tv on till 5 am (not the hotels fault) Seemed like a double bed with a king size mattress on
