We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomWe were there with 2 children and felt there could have been more on for them, they do have a kids den but it wasn’t great, quite dirty and messy. Could be improved. The lunch/evening food also let the hotel down, the menu didn’t have a great choice and you were eating in the bar area which you sometimes didn’t get a seat. The in house restaurant la cucina was a big let down, food was overpriced and not value for money, we were looking forward to going there for a nice meal but was very disappointed. Overall was a lovely stay however I would go out for a meal rather than eat in hotel if I was to stay again.
We loved the hotel, great place to relax and unwind in great surroundings Fantastic rooms and lovely breakfast.

United KingdomWe didn’t have a bath in our room, just a shower. Breakfast was disappointing. Many of the items had run out and took a while to replenish. There were plenty of staff but they seemed more focused on clearing and setting up new tables than seeing to guests. Some of the food was cold. Orange juice was poor quality.
The staff were all great. Very helpful and polite. The room size was good. We loved the swimming pool and there was a very good play area for children.

United KingdomWe feel La cucina needs improvement to match the standards of the rest of the hotel. As vegetarians/vegans it would be nice to have a few more options on all menus including breakfast, bars and restaurants. We both had a treatment at the spa which although was very good, I was not happy to find that a discretionary 10% is added on top of the already very expensive costs for treatments. Although the discretionary 10% is also added to bar service it is made very clear on the menus, it is not clear that the discretionary 10% is also added onto spa treatments. Due to it being half term you were required to book use of the swimming pool and although adult only sessions were available - it was disappointing that the times were 7am-8am and 8pm - 9pm. We felt there could have been another adult only hour maybe late morning or in the afternoon.
The room is possibly the nicest hotel room I have ever stayed in, the beds are comfy, the view was spectacular, the room amenities have everything you require and the bathroom was beautiful and spacious. The hotel itself has a great atmosphere and many places to sit, eat and relax to suit all needs. The pool and spa is very nice, clean and welcoming. All the staff at this hotel are incredibly polite, friendly, attentive and welcoming. The shuttle service into St Andrews is a great addition. I would 100% recommend this hotel and will be booking to come back.

Great facilities for our children, games room and daily films in the cinema. Breakfasts were also great, lots of choice and very fresh.

United KingdomBeing charged £200 extra ( a deposit incase of damages / using the mini fridge etc ) without being previosly told , also told it would take 3-5 working days to get it back , then not responding to my emails about my complaint , then had to phone twice before speaking to the manager , who is “ looking into it” & apologised , not very impressed tbh .

United KingdomStaff were very helpful and well mannered. I felt they were well trained. They were ‘around’ but not ‘in your face’. The public areas in the Hotel were warm and welcoming. Recently, we’ve found hotels are cutting back on heating which makes the public areas not very attractive….so, it was a welcome relief that this was not the case at The Fairmont. We found the public areas very comfortable and inviting.
Our room was spacious and very clean. I was particularly impressed by the en-suite. It was large with an impressive bath and a walk-in rain shower. We were supplied with a copious amount of towels….soft and again large.

Arrived ahead of check in time however room all ready and available. Friendliness of staff was genuine plus very happy to assist with any questions. Were lucky to get a room upgrade with sea view - room stunning plus underfloor heating in bathroom always a bonus !! Enjoyed afternoon drinks before dinner in one of the restaurants - food fresh, very warm and tasty. Relaxed atmosphere and a very welcoming feel. Cracking night's sleep in a very comfortable and large bed followed by really tasty breakfast in morning. Nothing was too much trouble, loved the venue, staff and food plus room perfect - so much so my good lady already looking at dates when we can book a return visit !! Thank you.

United KingdomChildren running riot in sports bar and pool area. We booked the golf sim and there were kids in the area that had crisp bags, toys and everything everywhere which was a shame. As for the pool you couldn’t really relax as kids were screaming and jumping around.
