The location was absolutely perfect for our particular interest in the natural world and bird watching in particular. The property is only a 10 minute drive to one of East Yorkshires premier Nature Reserves - Tophill Low, however the drive took us at least 40 minutes each time because there was so much wildlife to see on the local roads on the way - more than 30 bird species plus lots of Brown Hares and several Roe Deer. RSPB Bempton Cliffs (one of the RSPB's most important Reserves is little more than an hour away.

If you don't like the smell of horses, appreciate their charm or don't like being woken to the sound of neighs it may not be your ideal. But it's a working stud farm so get over it.

Super out of the way location. Immaculate premises with everything you need, even down to milk and chocolate biscuits in the fridge. What great attention to detail.

Our personal preference is for a larger bed. The bed itself was comfy and the bedding was lovely but we found the double bed a little small. It would have been nice to have a lamp in the lounge so that we didn't have to have the 'big' lights on.

The owner was super friendly and helpful but not intrusive at all. The wine, biscuits and milk that were left for us were very much appreciated. The appartment had everything that we needed including cleaning products, salt/pepper, soap etc.

The place is different and interesting. The rooms are very modern, spotlessly clean and spacious. Kitchens are full size and easy to work in. All bed’s including sofa beds are super comfortable. Ultimately these rooms are as good as any I’ve seen of this type of accommodation and I’ve stayed in a lot! It’s a remote location but it’s beautiful and worth the drive over - the road is in good condition and not a track by any means. Very friendly hosts who are on site and available if needed. If you love horses then those faces sticking out will make your day! I loved the place and will always try to book it when visiting my family and friends in that area.

Immaculately clean. Very easy to operate and vary heating controls. Plenty ventilation which was easy to operate. TV simple and effective with excellent choice of channels. Milk and biscuits left for convenience. Farm ‘off the beaten track’ so to speak.

The quiet location. The Apartment was clean and modern. Lovely to see all the horses. Would be lovely to stay in the summer months. Being December the weather was not good so could not venture out for a walk

We heard the horse banging in the stable below all night unfortunately. Low ceiling height in parts of main room.

Everything was perfect. We were visiting family nearby so it was very convenient and great value for money. The suite was spotless and had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend and will definitely stay again 😀
