We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomI have a few issues with what appears to me to be misleading advertising. Places calling themselves a “hotel” which are unstaffed. I am not saying ‘partially staffed, where people are there each day for a few hours, I mean unstaffed where the only contact is by telephone, in this case to a London number, and a person whose English is inadequate to deal with any matters that arise from the fact there is no physical presence at the venue. The advert on the site made n9 reference to lack of staff, it gave a check in time window, which, in the absence of other information, implied someone would be there. I appreciate the shift to ‘air bnb’ type accommodation, and if access is to be by remote keypad etc, then it ought to specify clearly that this is the case and any such venues should not be permitted to call themselves ‘hotel’s OK rant over, but I was and remain les than impressed with this sort of arrangement. On to the rest. The room was small, but again this may be the norm here, the ‘corridor leading to it, which had two other rooms off it, was so narrow, two people would have had trouble passing each other. There was only one pillow supplied and as there were no staff it was impossible to ask for another. There was no cold water from the bathroom sink.
The location was good, it’s on a grassed square looking onto the seafront, ideally placed for the beach and other entertainment. The room was clean but unfortunately that’s where it ends. In fairness the rate and room may have been the norm for this resort but there were so many things that grated with me that any tolerance for slight variations from expectation was unlikely to mitigate for.

United KingdomWhen we arrived we contacted the number provided to get the access pin to enter the building. Staff was rude and abrupt on the phone. When we entered the hotel it was boiling hot, had a funny smell and was hard to locate our room with no directions prior to our stay. Once we entered our bedroom it was boiling hot, again had a funny smell and was very small. The bathroom floor was wet at all times and this was even with us not using the shower. The wallpaper was starting to come away from the walls, there was no spare pillows instead just 1 per bed, bedding didn't smell clean and looked dirty.

Our double room was small and en-suite cramped, there had obviously been some condensation problems over winter, (grey mould in ceiling edges) though no feel of damp during our summer stay. No staff on site but access system worked well. It’s a shame this well located small hotel can’t get the update it deserves.
Location brilliant, the bed comfortable and everything seemed clean. We had no problem with the entry system and when I accidentally called the helpline number I did get a reply. The hotel was quiet and there was no street noise.
