Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere are a lot of stairs (which I know can't be helped) the bathroom was huge, it was clean and tidy but the shower was VERY small. The only thing I would recommend is installing a larger shower.
Location was perfect. Very easy to find, and everything within walking distance. Apartment was clean and tidy.

Enough short walking distance to Ross County´s home ground even when raining. All bars, restaurants, Lidl and snooker hall close.

AustraliaCould do with some hooks to hang towels on in the bathroom, it took along time to get decent tv reception as wanted to watch world cup rugby
Good space, good value for money, near restaurants and public transport if needed. It had a washing machine which was excellent as we had been living out of a suitcase for 9days and clothes running low

Ireland. The entrance (lobby) of the house (not the apartment) needs a bit of air ventilation.
The rooms are big and clean. The sofa and beds were comfy and clean. Easy to deal with the owner.

United KingdomThe lobby and hall area are a let down for this accommodation and gives you the impression that it’s run down and not nice. Peeling paint and plaster off the walls needs some attention. Therefore when accessing the apartment you haven’t got the best impression which is a shame as overall it’s a great place. There are some wonderful views from the living room only marred by filthy windows, something simple as a good clean would make all the difference. I can’t fault Sal who was there if we needed him and he worked quickly when we didn’t find the key in the key safe. There are so many places to visit from this base so would recommend
In terms of the property interior it was a super place with so much room to use and it was very bright. Comfy beds and sofa, room to eat at a table, facilities for self catering, good sized fridge and it was nice that some basics were left in the cupboards (salt, teabags etc) plus some toiletries in the bathroom (maybe from past guests but welcome all the same). There’s plenty of car parking with random places to use: it felt pretty secure to us. It was nice that regular buses are stopping nearby so there was activity to watch. Although we went out for days there are some great walks nearby especially up to the cemetery and monument on the hill which gives fab views of Dingwall. You must visit the Alchemist next door which does a terrific range of cards and gifts (the jewel in the crown of Dingwall). There is a large Tesco within walking distance so you won’t go without food

United KingdomFirst impressions not good; the car park strewn with rubbish, and the entrance door to the apartment a bit battered and worn. Plaster falling away in the corridors. But none of this should detract from the great value accommodation, which became a home from home for us. We would return.
Super location, at the end of the main street, and a few minutes walk to the railway station. Spacious and well equipped flat which was ideal for a few nights stay. Excellent bathroom and kitchen / lounge. Dingwall is a lovely town.

United KingdomNothing we didn’t like but if we were asked…The double bedroom is huge and could probably do with a little more furniture in it, to make use of the space. A wee side table / lamp and extra chair in the livingroom would make it more homely as there is def enough room.
Very spacious / clean flat which was very well equipped with everything we needed. WiFi worked very well for home working which was ideal. Huge double bedroom!! Would stay again if I’m the area.

CanadaNot being familiar with heating and hot water appliances in the UK we had a bit of a tough time figuring it out at first but the owner/staff quickly responded to questions and we sorted it out! It was a bit noisy outside the main bedroom window at night as the taxi drivers seem to wait in this area but it did quiet down later on both nights.
Central to our visiting plans, lots of room to move around, updated appliances, everything you need is in the apartment. Bed/pillows comfy. Shower and bathroom facilities were good. Very secure. Good value.

United KingdomThe entrance area could benefit from a tidy up, I was a bit worried on entering but the flat itself was very clean. We had flat 4 which was at the top and would be no problem to someone younger and fitter than me but that is down to me and not the accommodation
Flat was very clean, beds were comfy and it was well equipped although we didn't really use the kitchen as we ate out. Keys were in a lock safe and instructions were emailed so no problems there.

United KingdomThe bed in double room was comfy, but a bit small. An additional soft chair in the living room would have been nice, lovely room, but not enough comfy seats. Shower, although nice, was on the small side, and lights in bathroom could have been brighter. Bit noisy at night on the street outside, but that can't be helped.
The flat was great, clean and very spacious, and facilities were excellent. Parking was great. On the whole the flat was lovely and the points we didn't like were very minor and slight improvements that, in our opinion, would make the accommodation even better. We had a great stay, would definitely come back and recommend to anyone.

United KingdomBeing on the second floor. Carrying luggage to the second floor was almost too much for one of my party. When I book again I will ask for the first floor.
I was graduating from Highland Theological College, the ceremony was in Castle St. Church and the celebratory meal was in the National Hotel so the location was perfect.
