How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The decoration in the room I was in, could have done with a bit on an update but overall, it wasn't bad.
Perfect location for me as I was walking the coast path in and around Weymouth. And only a 10 minute walk into town as well. The room was a decent size and comfortable. The little kitchenette was a great idea, I used the microwave to heat ready meals on a couple of nights, to save going to the pub. There were also a few items for breakfast included.

Firstly, Sue was so friendly and helpful - great. Breakfast pack, tea / coffee very good. Location and proximity to buses perfect. Bed was comfy and the complete apartment ( & lounge) was spotlessly clean. Excellent all round.

Excellent, warm, bright and clean room. En-suite very clean and well thought out. Liked the heated towel rail and clothes hanger. Milk on the fridge to go with breakfast pack was a nice touch.

Great room, private bathroom, free parking. There was a pint of milk and cereal, jam etc, little things make a weekend stay far easier. Being able to make tea, toast and microwave dinner we brought with us was brilliant and just what we wanted.

There was nothing to fault it was our second visit and will book again for next year.
The location is great a 10 min walk to town and beach. Staff and owner very helpful and friendly. All the rooms have a kitchenette so handy if you want to make your own meals.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Florian. From the moment we stepped in the door we were made to feel welcome .With a welcome pack in our room. It was clean , spacious , I loved the little kitchenette it makes all the difference when you come back to know you can get a cuppa and some cake etc There was plenty if parking only once we needed to park opposite but not a problem Near to lots of local shops 5/10 minute walk and walking distance to town or beach. I would definitely book again at The Florian as Weymouth is my favourite place .

during the rush hour it could be slightly tricky pulling out of the property into the road. Maybe i should have reversed in when i parked. Other than that no issues.
Clean and well equipped rooms that had fridge, kettle etc. Parking availabe as well on their driveway. The landlady clearly takes a lot of pride in the presentation of the rooms and asked me in person if everything was meeting with exprectations. The private bathroom was close by and i had a key for my exclusive use. The room was also equipped with a bath robe for my visits to the bathroom - how helpful! Yes i'd stay again.
