The kitchen had everything including free tea and coco. The living room area was nice and comfortable, with enough seating areas, blankets and books and games. The staff was friendly and the overall ambience was cozy.

There are many people on less space. So it‘s very personal and it could be cleaner. The atmosphere is kind of alternative. You have to like that kind of hosting. It‘s not for everyone.

The inventory of the bunkrooms are very sparce with only a plug station by the door, no nightstand and no curtains or bed-walls for privacy

The atmosphere was very firendly and safe, full of other backpackers winding down from hikes! The kitchen was very well equiped and the dining and chill out areas were great for hanging out and meeting other hikers

The shower and toilet room wasn't in great condition. The hostel was noisy, all the sound from downstairs carries up really loudly to the rooms on the landing above. It is next to the hospital, and when the air ambulance comes in in the middle of the night you might as well be sleeping on the helipad! Not a good night's sleep.

The hostel is in a good location, and has all the facilities you need. There was a sink in the room, and bedding and towels all clean. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast options were plentiful. Well stocked kitchen.

The only downside was that it was quite cold at night. Despite having the bed next to the radiator, it didn't seem to warm up. Also, there were only two plug sockets in a room for 8 people, which made phone charging a bit of an issue, but we all shared the plugs available.

The hostel is ideally located for both the town and the walks. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils. There was a general vibe of friendliness. The views from the lounge and dining room were pretty great too.

The staff were very welcoming and gave me all information I needed. Free access to hot drinks and milk was a bonus, kitchen was clean. Located up a hill off the main road in quiet area, a walk to the main town took 5 minutes.

Very small room, next to lounge so very loud. Definitely more for partying travelers than hikers.

The only bad thing was that the heating wasn't on and it was pretty chilly. However, this was due to shortage of gas at the time of the year so it shouldn't normally be a problem. The member of staff gave a convector heater for the room and the room was roasting through the night.

As a first time user of a hostel I was very impressed with the comfortable bed, shower, kitchen, and lounge room. I was particularly impressed with the very friendly and helpful member of staff and the drying room. My hiking stuff, clothes and boots were soaked right through and it all dried very quickly. They also had free coffee and tea which is what I needed to warm up.

The pillow covers were a little worn out. The ladder that led to the bed was a bit of work. It was difficult to climb up and down.

The hosts there were friendly and provided a lot of information. The hostel had a quant setting. Huge kitchen was well equipped to cook if you like. The linens and bathrooms were very clean. The hotel's location was excellent, close to city center and the bus and train station.

The 5pm check-in time is quite late, however I was kindly allowed to keep my suitcase at reception whilst I went into town until check-in. The room only has two wall plug points for charging by the door. Besides the issue of 10 people having to charge using two plug points (thankfully we were only 4 in the dorm), it’s also slightly inconvenient if your bunk is not adjacent thereto. The availability of some kind of locker/storage for one’s belongings would also have been a welcome addition.

The man (unfortunately did not catch his name) who runs the property is very kind and helpful, and gave me some recommendations in Fort William. The property and facilities are clean. I was able to get a good nights’ rest during my stay there; beds are quite comfortable (although I am a deep sleeper). The location is convenient and in close proximity to the railway station, bus stops and main street with the pubs (although situated at the top of a steep hill). Although I did not use the kitchen facilities due to my short stay, there are quite a few facilities available for those staying longer.

There was no locked place to store luggage during the day. The beds and bathroom are not really comfortable, but it's ok for a couple of days.

The hostel looks like a big old familly house. The view is really nice, there is a fireplace in the living room. You can find many many good informations about hiking, visiting and local stuff on the walls everywhere. The main street of Fort William is ten min walking away, this is nice is you wanna go to the pub.

Car Park was very small and it was a long way to walk from parking on the road. It was not possible to allow vehicles to temporarily park so that luggage can be dropped off before finding a parking space elsewhere. The toilets and showers were very basic and had to be queued for.

There were six of us in an 8 bed room and it had plenty of room. especially liked the mobile USB charging blocks in the room.

Comfy, cosy private room. Hot showers. Friendly staff. Excellent location. Great continental breakfast for just £3.50 extra.
