It was quite busy so there were fairly long waits for food at breakfast but what you got was top notch.

The rooms for families were great. It meant we could all be together. It was raining but they organised lots of things for the kids to do. The indoor pool was a god send and had a beautiful view over the estuary.

Indoor pool wasn’t particularly clean and room for massage wasn’t sound proof so a little noisy.

Extremely family friendly and service was fantastic. Very impressed with rooms. Great touches like crabbing equipment provided for children.

Reception area was a little chaotic, too many pushchairs,left luggage, room wasn’t ready, this didn’t spoil our stay at all but was a shame it was our first impression

There was a fire alarm that went of at 4am and no apology or explanation or gesture of good will. I know these things happen but there was no fire and seemed like a system error. Would have been good to be told in morning. Other feedback we had was addressed very well by the manager.

Beautiful location easy to walk into Fowey. Super dog friendly. Lovely staff. Kind and caring vibe the whole place.

We've had a wonderful 2 night stay at Fowey Hall. The hotel was beautiful, the facilities were great. The outside of the hotel, the views and the grounds were stunning. There was so much to do. We liked the games in the lobby and we managed to get a nice swim in the pool. It was nice and warm and not busy at all on Saturday evening. We also liked the playground for the kids and had a nice walk in the area. All the staff were very welcoming and lovely to all of us. We're celebrating mine and my son's birthday and at the dinner, he got surprised with a cake and Happy Birthday writing on the plate. It was so kind and made him very happy(along with his Sundae). The food in the restaurant and the breakfast were very good. Very nice choice of breakfast to order and buffet style cereals, pastries, yoghurts, etc, were available too. The room was so lovely. We loved the freestanding bath. The room, particularly the bed, was very comfy. We've had everything we needed. The coffee and tea making facilities, the shortbread biscuits and the robes were a nice touch. We've had a free upgrade to a partial view room, we really appreciate the lovely gesture. The kids asked if we can live here and said this was the best hotel ever. We'd definitely return. Such a lovely place to stay. Thank you for having us and for everything.

The one, small downside was the dinner menu which was the same for the 3 nights of our stay. I understand though that a new chef has just been appointed and new directions are planned in response to previous, similar feedback.

A great hotel, beautifully appointed with wonderful facilities and extremely friendly and helpful staff - when was the last time you were shown to your room when you arrived at a hotel? Very relaxed atmosphere with older couples like ourselves mingling with young families. We visited in term time, so it was not as busy as it probably gets in the school holidays, but you feel the staff would cope whatever came their way.

My only (small) criticism was the small portion sizes (fish and chips) and slower service when eating at the hotel restaurant for dinner.

We were extremely lucky as we were upgraded to a new part of the hotel with a partial sea view room which was beautiful. The hotel provided a much needed opportunity to relax after a full year of being parents. The staff made every effort to make us feel at home, and to make our son feel special. From hand written name cards at dinner, free breakfasts, baby sitting, bottle cleaning, colouring books, bugaboo high chairs and cots, to story time before bed - I couldn’t recommend the hotel for a family enough! My expectations before going away was to have a change of scenery, the reality was an opportunity to completely switch off and to make parenting on holiday as easy as possible. I didn’t know how much we needed the break. Thank you so much

The room was big , beautifully designed and clean. Loved the added extras , shortbread etc and especially the fresh milk in little bottle in room fridge. My 11 year old son loved the games room with table tennis and pool table. Also watched movie together in the cinema room. Complimentary popcorn went down a treat. So many great added touches that we noticed throughout our stay. Not always being able to rely on the weather this hotel gives you plenty to do and keep the whole family occupied on a wet day. Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay.

There aren't enough superlatives to describe the staff, location, attention to detail, or focus (for once) on the youngest members of a traveling family. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed. The meals were outstanding, to include having materials on hand to keep children occupied productively while waiting. Simply outstanding. We will be back.

The rump steak was less than average, chewy and tasteless (£34 - our local pub does incredible local fillet for £24) and the drinks were so expensive.

We loved the location and the room was lovely. The staff are amazing and our dog was thoroughly spoilt. We didn't have breakfast but it looked very good.
