Due to the storms we were placed in a lodge which was lovely. Comfy beds, all kitchen facilities, tv, large bathroom.underfloor heating. Very cosy. Although the lodge is for 2 people it was fine with 2 adults and 2 children, they loved it.

The only suggestion I would say is maybe have a little step next to the toilet as smaller people in our group found it quite high compared to a normal toilet but other than that it was perfect

Had a few nights here last week and we loved it. Came with two teenagers so I was a bit worried about the fact that there was no electricity but you can get data fine and we had a power bank as an extra so it was great. The views are stunning and it's very peaceful with hardly any traffic noise. If you like nature like we do it's great to hear the owls and foxes on a night wake up to the dawn chorus and the sheep greeting you. The tent was spotless and so were the toilet and shower facilities. We would definitely return and have recommended it to all of our friends. Thank you for an enjoyable 2 nights stay 🙂

The only gripe I have if I were I to pick; the shower / toilet door has an inch or so gap.... good for clearing the smell of the composting toilet... but in cold, windy weather, lets a chilly draught through, not good when turning off a hot shower. Brrr.

Close to nearby garage stocked with co-op goods. Electronic gates for security. Large off-road wheelbarrow to cart your bags to tent. Hot shower. Hot water for dishes. Camping stove with gas, all the utensils you'll need. Adequate fire pit and tri-pod bbq. The field was mown and camping area grass was great (longer natural part of field had thistles throughout, tread carefully). Andy and Helen, the owners, were very helpful and pleasant to deal with.

It would have been helpful to be able to park next to the tent but we understand why that’s not possible. It would be worth looking in to some kind of play structure for children, a climbing frame or play park rides.

Beautiful scenery, amazing location, close to amenities, great open space for children to run around.

The composting toilet takes a little getting used to but it's fine and environmentally friendly so it's worth the adjustment.

Great place to stay, will likely stay here again when in the area, nice and relaxing, no light pollution, nice big tent, compost toilet, hot water shower and sink, charcoal grill, fire basket, gas hob, kitchenware, plenty of space to relax without bothering other campers, friendly welcoming hosts. Everything you need really, me and my family loved it.

The long walk to the toilet on my own in the dark!! Perhaps the toilet & tent could be a bit closer?? Also to avoid the damage to the grass, cordon off an area specific for each tent, so that the fire pits & bbqs cant be moved? Also, if it had rained during the day, we would have had nowhere in the tent to sit, except for on the floor or on our beds (not easy getting up and down!)....perhaps a couple of fold away chairs and table in the tent. Even for cold evenings for playing games?!

We didn't really know what to expect, but we had everything we needed! A lovely welcome and tour and the knowledge that we could call at anytime! Luckily we had good weather, except a bit of rain at night, so we sat out and enjoyed the bbq and firepit, with a glass of wine! A fabulous, relaxing site, which i will recommend to everyone i know!!

There was nothing that we didn't like. Any issues that we had were dealt with by Helen without any problem. There are 5 Bell tents on site and each had plenty of space for privacy and quietness. I expected poor mobile reception but found no problems at all.

Easy to find, Helen was there to greet us with a brilliant tour of the facilities, the beds were made ready for us and we had our own toilet and shower facility aswell. The location is very quiet, peaceful and beautiful.

Nothing - it was actually perfect. I can't think of anything I would change.

We absolutely loved this little hideaway. It is family run which made it feel really homely and special. The hosts Andy & Helen were lovely as were their little ones. The site has amazing facilities - the toilet and shower was really pleasant considering we were in the middle of a field! The tent itself was stunning and so well furnished. We had the best time & were really sad to leave but we left feeling extremely relaxed. I can't wait to come back again!
