Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe door was open on arrival which spooked us a bit and also there was no bathroom light working and no light in the corridor between living area and bedroom. Contacted the owner after we got home so hopefully that will be sorted.
We loved the location as we were attending a wedding at the town Hall, bed was comfortable and it had all of the amenities that were required

United KingdomThe door code is too low and difficult to see. The door is rickety and the code is a faff. On arrival somebodies clothes drying on radiators. Floor uneven cold and perilous with holes all over. Soft toys everywhere in bedroom so nowhere to put drinks at bedside. Cups and plates full of dust and grit.Am 6 ft and had to duck taller than me you have had it. Towel had a head sized hole in it and all were threadbare. People upstairs talked and it was like they werein the room with us. Worth about 20 quid a night one up from sleeping in a cave. Telly lucky I have a firestick myself otherwise you will give up. No telly for you. Mirror balanced on drawers clumsy grandson nearly wore it on a visit. Thanks to Dad who saved you from gettinhg sued.

United KingdomDespite its excellent location, the Beehive was a huge disappointment. Entry to the property is via a side entrance through a double gate into a small courtyard which also contains the “Treehouse” another rental property. The door is secured by a code entered into a keypad which is below waist height and necessitates crouching to enter the code and gain entry. There is no light so getting the door open in the dark can be very demanding. The property is very compact with virtually no storage space except for a small open-fronted hanging area in the bedroom. There is no drawer space which makes a seven-night stay extremely challenging. The TV in the bedroom takes up valuable floor space and should be removed. The bed was comfortable and the linen was clean. However, the living area was not clean. There were tea stains on the bin, a used drinking straw on the sofa, cobwebs around the bathroom door and bedding in the washing machine. On the plus side the shower is excellent albeit nerve-wracking until you realize that it won’t actually overflow onto the floor. The bathroom, however, would benefit greatly from an Xpelair fan as we needed to leave the window open to clear the steam, a practice that would be unacceptable in colder weather. The outside area is completely overgrown with bamboo and was unusable. Notwithstanding any of the above, the major defects of the Beehive are a total lack of privacy and the complete absence of any natural light in the living area. The former is caused by the fact that there is only a thin dividing door between the Beehive and the adjoining property, the King’s Inn, meaning that even a normal conversation in either property is easily audible to the guests in the other one. The lack of light is caused by the privacy film that has been fixed to the window in the living area. We paid £665 for a seven-night stay, after two nights we contemplated leaving but stayed only because the adjoining property had become vacant.

United KingdomNot what was expected from the photographs. The beehive would be better described as a hobbit house. It was dingy and dark the TV didn't work. The house smelt damp. We were pleased we were there only for one night on route. We would not go again and it was not value for money.
Very well located in the town.
