I hadn't realised the toilet/bathroom wasn't part of the actual bedroom, but once we'd sussed out the keys and got into a routine of leaving the room to use the bathroom, it was fine.

Friendly owner who cooked us a lovely full English brekky too. A nice selection of cereals, yoghurts and drinks available. Always a bonus to have breakfast included in the room rate. The room itself was really nice, and my daughter enjoyed her last bath before heading off to uni in Cardiff!

There was nothing not to like

2nd stay here and it was just as good as the first time. Breakfast was amazing, rooms very clean and comfortable and only a 5, 10 min walk to barry island. Staff were as always amazing nothing you ask is to much for them. We'll definitely be back soon :)

Our room wasn't the cleanest room I have ever stayed with a couple of issues there but nothing that spoiled our stay. I am 20st and had a job fitting through the shower doors, My fault for being fat I guess lol

Excellent location, the staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was great. All in all Gail's Guest House was a lovely place to stay.

Only the first night, rude guests keeping others awake and unlocking the main door so other people could enter as they pleased. This meant being woken up in the early hours and not being able to sleep. Gail and Lyndon where very helpful and discounted the room due to this however they lost quite a bit of money due to these guests. When your in someone else business don’t argue and shout as it is not nice for both the other guests or the owners as both suffer at the end of it. Other than this little hiccup I would definitely stay here again.

The room was a nice size and had everything you would need. Located just on the outskirts of the town so away from any noise from nightlife. Gail was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of choice.

Me and my daughter had a lovely stay at Gail's they was so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed The beds were comfy slept like a baby It's a short walk to Barry Island which was ideal Hopefully we can visit again

The parking is quite deceiving, at the top of the hill there is about 2 spaces available for non permit holders which we managed to get for the time we were there

Fantastic location, family friendly and with a 10 minute walk to the beach it’s perfect with the fair, arcades and Gavin and Stacey fun! Lovely breakfast and great hosts that will do anything needed. Room size was great the triple room top floor with a shower en suite. Would definitely stay again!

room was good but beds were very creaky. Every time we moved they were very noisy. Window was very stiff to shut and carpet coming up in the doorway

Family-style guest house. Very sociable, kind, helpful and friendly owners, they cook an excellent breakfast. Room quite small; we had to move the bed so that there was walking room either side of the bed. We didn’t know Barry/Barry Island at all so had to do a bit of wandering before we found the beach and front. A few local maps/ leaflets would have been helpful

Basically the parking but nothing else

Dont be deceived by the outside of the Guest house as its no where near what it looks like from the front.We had room 3 and it was comfortable with a comfortable bed.They run an order the breakfast the night before which works well for both parties,The room was clean and the breakfast well cooked by lucy[loved her].Yes the property could do with a bit of TLC in places but overal we had a comfortable stay.Just be aware of the parking restrictions outside as its a bit tricky so make sure you read the resident parking signs properly.
