really needs a blind on the door to stop the early morning light! we were up early though for a flight so not a biggy for us!

The Location is ideal for people wanting to get to Gatwick or just want somewhere to stay in the area without wanting to use a hotel. The place is well looked after and has all the things one would require for a few nights. There are a few places to get some drinks and you can order takeaway from Horely if needed. The hosts are great at communicating and available whenever needed.

The entry door is low (im 5'10 and bumped my head) headroom no issue inside high ceilings and normal doors . Shower was lukewarm and wifi struggled watching iplayer. TV signal poor. Bed against the wall so only accessible from one side. To keep perspective these were minor points and I would happily stay again.

The location is lovely. There are two nice pubs in walking distance. We used the Charlwood and had a nice meal. The accomodation is spotless and spacious. Milk in the fridge on arrival. The kitchen is well equipped and bathroom also spacious and spotless . The sofa is good quality and comfortable.

We wanted a hotel for one night so that we could catch a early flight from Gatwick the following day. The Hideout was perfect! Great value for money vs some of the larger hotels in the area and you can leave your car on location for a small extra fee. Little tricky to find, so be sure to double check with the owners on the instructions before you arrive. The room seemed newly renovated and was great! Even had milk in the fridge so we could make a cup of tea! Highly recommend!

The property is super tucked out the way, which I personally LOVE! But I wouldn’t stay here if you wanted to be in a town.

Everything! If you like country style living, this is for you. Beautiful wooden floors. Perfectly appointed kitchen and bathroom. And so many kitchen items to use. Laura (host) was so quick and friendly in her responses and went over and above to make sure my stay was perfect. And it was. Also, the cafe on The Street is absolutely delightful! Run by the most lovely women. Delicious cake selection!

Unfortunately I did not sleep as the noise of airplanes flying over kept me awake. Each hour until the early hours of the morning, a particularly large airplane would come over and it sounded like it was just above the property! In between, other planes would go over making it stressful and keeping me awake. This was a big set back for me and the only reason I would not recommend the property.

The property and location were precisely as described and very nice. The fact that the unit was self contained meant that we could make a cup of tea or watch TV, etc.

I hate to give this a bad revue but nothing went right from not being able to get into the property because the fob wasn’t in the key box. Lauren was very helpful when I managed to get in touch with her. I was about to get into the shower when the smoke alarm went off even though I wasn’t cooking anything. I called Lauren who got someone to check it. He climbed up to switch it off. I had my shower & the alarm went off again but stopped after a short time. It kept going off every few minutes but it was now late so I didn’t like to disturb anyone. The alarm continued all night. I left at 5am ….shattered.

Check-in was unpleasant. Two days before, having heard nothing, I texted our hosts to confirm my phone number. We heard nothing back. I assumed someone would meet us. We arrived on a dark, rainy evening. Taxi delivered us to the street address on the listing. There was a gate with doorbells. We tried one - answered by a man who had no idea who we were or why we were there. I phoned the host. Only then did I learn that they were out of the country. The gate opened and revealed a gravel road. It was pitch black and raining. We could not see where the property was. We walked down the very dark road and had to guess which way to go when we came to a fork. There was a small locked structure which turned out to be the place. Calling our host once more, we found out there was a side door that was open - it is tricky and only opens if you turn knob one way. Our host said they sent check-in instructions the day before. We were now wet and very frustrated. Nothing in the listing told us the place is 250m down a dark lane from the road. Host's attitude was that this was all our fault. I've searched all my messages, and found no record of check-in instructions from them. Was there a glitch with booking.com? If our hosts did send us instructions, I think they should have noticed we did not acknowledge them - and they should have replied to my text two days earlier. Once we were finally in the place, it was difficult to get food. This was a Sunday evening in a rural area. Nearest pub was very friendly but no food. Only source of food was delivery app. The place itself is immaculate. It's basic though. There is no table to eat on inside so you eat in your lap on the sofa. Shower not very hot. You are staying in what might have once been a barn on a farm; when we were there it was more like being on a building site.

Cleanest place we have ever stayed. Beautiful dogs came to say hello. There was instant oatmeal for breakfast. Clearly marked recycling bin. This could be a good place if you have a car or maybe a bicycle.
