The continental breakfast was adequate,fresh bread rolls and croissants would be great.Be a little more generous with the toast, 1 piece each is a little meagre.Cooked breakfast ,I was told,was very good and it looked delicious.

Room and bathroom could not be faulted,a small chair to put clothes on after retiring would be good.Consider having a lighter weight duvet as room is quite warm.

Room was very spacious with a nice comfy bed, a good size TV and a lovely big walk in shower. Breakfast was well presented with plenty of choice to set us on our way for the day and all the staff were very friendly and helpful! We are regular visitors to the Peak District and we will definitely be putting the George and Dragon on the top of our list of places to stay.

Great range of toiletries provided, including hair conditioner and body lotion! Also good mirrors and lighting in the bathroom which is really important and often overlooked in hotels. Well done George and Dragon!

We chose the location because it was near a race we were taking part in. It would have been great to have the option of twin beds as I shared a double with my young child. But that was obviously my choice.

Nice breakfast made by the owner's mum as the owner was away. But it was fab regardless (maybe better, who knows!?). Met by friendly staff and shown everything we needed.

We loved every aspect of the George and Dragon. The location great, staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were superb and the breakfast heavenly. I would highly recommend this as a perfect place to stay!

Breakfast was fantastic value for money and the service throughout our stay was so attentive. We stayed with our our 7 month old puppy and the whole place was completely dog friendly and Louie was made a fuss of by all the staff

A great overnight stay at The George and Dragon. We arrived late to a very warm welcome from the man running the bar. Our recently refurbished double room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The shower was fantastic! Breakfast was also very good. Would highly recommend.

There was nothing I didn't like. Jenni the manager fell over backwards to help me out when I got snowed in. Such welcoming and friendly staff. You couldn't ask for a better place or village to get stuck in. Room was modern and comfortable with a great view out to the village church, the breakfast was lovely and fully recommend. THANK YOU!

Recently renovated rooms finished to a high standard. Very comfy bed, lovely powerful shower, a friendly welcome and a brilliant breakfast - couldn’t ask for more. Combined with the excellent Angel pub/restaurant directly opposite (which we suspected might be under the same ownership?) and set in a village with beautiful views in every direction, there really was nothing to fault about The George and Dragon. Thoroughly recommended.

Having to pay extra for breakfast...when it's classed as a bed and breakfast you expect the breakfast to be included as part of the price.
