Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThey only gave us one pillow per person (so 2), I would have liked at least two more pillows and cushions for comfort when reading in bed. Lack of car park. Comments mention the convenience of having one right behind the hotel, which is true, but it's short term only so max 2 hours. There is one right next to it that is long term (I think it's called Alexandra Road, do not trust google maps, it's not correct, it's a bit further up the hill/road near coop) but it had limited spaces and pay machine was broken so I had to end up parking in the promenade parking. They let us leave our bags with them after checkout, as we wanted to spend a few more hours in town after checking out, but they do not have a proper space for it so you might not be so lucky if someone does that before you
The location is great. Being a Wetherspoon food is cheap. Room was spacious, and had a modern bathroom. Bed was massive, although it was two small doubles joined so not comfy where they meet.

United KingdomRoom very warm, air con. was noisy when used. Feather quilt, we prefer synthetic, but that's a personal choice.
Great location, rooms very clean and well equipped, we particularly liked the water provided.

United KingdomThe room needs another bedside lamp, and preferable the smokers' area should be moved elsewhere. Parking would be an issue for the disabled.
We had the use of an 'accessible' room, (not actually required, but it was the last room available when we booked); lots of space and a lovely wet room. It is accessed from outside the main building, through the outside seating area (including the designated undercover smoking area, which is not so good!), then through one outside door and directly ahead. Room was very clean and comfortable, although oddly there was only a bedside lamp on one side of the bed! The George is in a good location - note though that there is NO onsite parking, and the local public car parks are only free between 6pm and 8am, so you need to get up and out early to buy a ticket- you can only buy for the same day, not in advance. Breakfast in the Wetherspoons restaurant was excellent, as expected, and unlimited tea and coffee is always a huge bonus.

United KingdomGiven a room for impaired mobility which we didn't need. Worried someone else might need it. Requested a low room as I have asthma .Noisy as it was right by the kitchen door, staff continually banging the door, Most wetherspoons hotels have this sorted as there are plenty of sound proof doors between public spaces and the rooms. No parking you can park for free nearby from 6pm - 8am.

United KingdomStairs!
Central to everything. Really impressed with the facilities available. Very comfortable. Easy access, separate access from main food area a bonus. Only place we’ve ever stayed in that has had bottles of water and hot choc sachets for guests (non tea and coffee drinkers!).

United KingdomI had to wait for a manager to check us in as the bar staff couldn’t or wouldn’t do it. I was presented with a printed sheet of information that was barely legible. The hotel, being a Wetherspoon pub is pretty busy so we had to wait to be served a couple of times having to stand in a “Post Office” style queue. There was also no breakfast in the rate we paid which was a surprise as I always book “breakfast included”
The hotel is right in the action but we had a room that was separated from the main building in a quiet back corner which we were relived about as this is a very busy hotel being a JD Wetherspoon facility, which I had not realised when booking. The room was spotless and drink and food prices were brilliant.

United KingdomThere was an issue with the key cards, which didn't work for us most of the time and necessitated quite a bit of running around. No parking available at the hotel, only round the corner in the Co-op carpark which is pay-and-display until 6pm and from 8am
Comfortable beds, good bathroom, everything nice and clean, friendly staff. The breakfast was good for the (additional) price and service was prompt.

AustraliaUnfortunately, there isn't close overnight parking, which as we experienced, is quite common in the UK, this is available at the bus terminal about 600m away.
The room was quite big and comfortable for our stay, and we enjoyed exploring the area and the Beacons.
