    Temperature of room & water!

The staff were very nice. The hotel, room & furnishings were good - the only bad aspect was the temperature of the room, cool! And bathroom was freezing ~ even the water temperature did not get above lukewarm so was unable to have a shower 🙄

The parking area was full and the onstreet parking is residnts only. The breakfast buffet could use more options to cater for vegan/ lactose free.

The hotel is in a great location and the new brewery/ distillerary brings a modern twist to a traditional hotel. The rooms were clean and the beds comfy. The style of the the hotel is traditional but not dated.

The Hotel has several bulidings the first time I stayed We were put two floors up no lifts, I have arthritis in the knees and a leg surgery. The Hotel were not to know this as I didn't say, so not there fault. The next time we stayed I asked on check-in for a lower level, all rooms were gone but she did manage to put us only one flight up in the Waterside building, the climb up wasn't too bad but the room more than made up for it. Next time I book I will ask at time of booking for a downstairs room. So none of this was the Hotels fault and they did try to accommodate me. I wish there wasnt a sad face for this part of the review as the Hotel is lovely and we wl be back..

The current parking situation but this will improve once construction work is complete.

Good sized room which was warm and comfortable, location is excellent although parking is limited due to ongoing construction. Excellent breakfast available from an early time if you are heading off for work.

Shame work was going on in the car park, which had to negotiated, and spaces were then limited - and the gravelled service isn't the most welcoming for a motorcyclist! The beer was superb, if a little on the 'too chilled' side for me.

Location superb. Staff were excellent - friendly and helpful in all locations. I ate in the restaurant in the evening - excellent food, quick and attentive service: I don't eat out much so for me it seemed on the expensive side but don't take my word for it! Room was warm - I could sleep with the heating off and window open in early March. Breakfast buffet was also good. I'd recommend their own beers.

My initial room was very pokey with a 'foosty' smell.. A huge mirror and tiny TV. Not a nice place to hang out. I asked for a room move and was granted a much more acceptable room overlooking the river and a lot more spacious and inviting.

The room I was moved to was a real contrast!

Room 925 had an extractor fan below the window which caused ahard to sleep situation with the noise.

Location beside the river and near city centre. Brilliant breakfast. Friendly, pleasant welcome from staff. Good to see hotel employing staff who possibly had some learning difficulties. The two who were on breakfast duties were efficient and friendly and a credit to themselves and hotel training.

The light switch for the room was down a corridor near the door but really far from the bed. But that was only a tiny issue

Breakfast was really nice, the room really comfortable and the staff went out of their way to help me. I am allergic to down pillows but they went to go get me a replacement immediately. Wish I had more time to explore the distillery there
