Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe single room I had was tight for space and the toilet and shower were separate across the corridor but no one else has access to it during your stay and is only applicable to the single room.
The hosts Julia and Paul were very friendly and exceptionally helpful. The bed was very comfortable.

We loved the location. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Our Hosts Julia and Paul were brilliant and couldn't do enough for us during our stay. Breakfast was great and nothing was a bother. Covid restrictions applied and tables at breakfast were well spread out. First time I have stayed in Whitby and will definitely be back and will be back to stay at the Glenora House ❤

Julia, the owner was really friendly and made me feel very welcome. My single room was spotless and comfortable. It was not en suite but I had the sole use of a bathroom just across the landing. I was even provided with a dressing gown which was a nice touch. Breakfast was excellent.Overall it was great value for money and I would certainly stay again.

The owners were very welcoming and friendly. They were happy to chat and give information and advice about local attractions. The room was clean and comfortable with lovely facilities available (kettle, tea, coffee, biscuits, bottle of water, towel, map of area, WiFi, TV with Netflix). The breakfast was amazing. I had cooked breakfast both mornings and the quality of the products used was superb, plus everything was cooked to perfection. Parking was available in front of Glenora and the location of the property in relation to accessing Whitby was very convenient. I am looking forward to returning to Whitby and I will try to book the Glenora again.
