We really enjoyed our short 2 night stay. Feels like a cosy, comfy bolthole. Good value too.

The bed was a bit creaky but comfortable all the same. No complaints here :) Everything was easy to find and in working order. The shower head had a tendency to droop during use but again it's just small detail and can be easily addressed.

A lovely self catering accommodation, very well equipped with nice touches such as teabags, washing up liquid etc. Set in a quiet backwater within a mile of the town centre. Very homely and nicely decorated.

The only thing I could say is that an upstairs toilet would have been perfect. Apart from that, everything was spot on.

We liked everything about the cottage. We had 3 very happy nights there. It was comfortable and cosy, very homley , plenty of parking. Also, as we were making a cuppa, looking out of the kitchen window, we could see a football match going on, so we had a little stroll along the way to watch .

The stairs are quite lethal for more mature persons of a certain age, (75 and 83) who also have some arthritis in their hands. If there had been a photograph of the stairs included with the, along with the others, and also it was mentioned that the bathroom was downstairs I would not have booked the cottage in the first place. GOd help any gentleman with prostate troubles! My friend, (83) also suffers with mild vertigo but normally copes with good stairs but she had to sleep downstairs on a sofa for the 3 nights, for fear of falling, because of the stairs, and the bathroom being downstairs. The wooden handrail is too big and too smooth for gripping with arthritic hands, the stairs treads are also very smooth, even I felt unsafe unless I was barefoot. The top stairtread is very narrow, understandable due to the design, but a little unsettling. Also neither of us were able to use the shower facility as there were no grab handles anywhere, for use in the shower, ( one alongside the extremely low toilet would have helped too) luckily I take a toilet seat riser to any booking. I write this having previously managed and run, highly successful holiday cottage, so I'm somewhat surprised and concerned that these safety issues, (which mostly can be easily rectified) were missed when inspections took place. It would also have helped if there were basic instructions how to use the hob, not everyone has such up to date equipment. When we arrived we didn't know about using the "back" door, or that there is an adjoining, separate holiday let. We spent 45 minutes trying to unlock the wrong keyboard. Thankfully an extremely kind nearby lady allowed us to use her WiFi to contact you and the owner was eventually able to come and solve our problem, but might I suggest better signage to the correct entrance? Also I think that I was given the most limited directions and entry information I've ever been encountered.

The cottage was very nice but needs better signage to the correct entrance. It was very clean, peaceful and well placed for what we needed. The cottage is great for younger more spry people who don't require visiting the bathroom regularly especially at night

We are so glad we found Goilan Goch. The owner is welcoming and great with communication. The cottage has everything you could need and is a beautiful location. After a long day exploring, it has a lovely hot bath/shower, plenty of fresh fluffy towels, comfortable clean beds, cosy living rooms and plenty of places for food nearby. The cottage was also easy to heat or keep cool and our dog was secure in the garden. Comfort is the best word I could use to describe our stay.

It would have been great to have some wood to use in the log burner. However it was a very last minute booking , so appreciate this may not have been possible

This property would work really well for a family or two couples.

The home was absolutely wonderful and very little to fault on so this is me being extremely picky. -WiFi doesn't reach the kitchen so it kept turning off when going into it and reconnecting when going to other places in the home. I like to watch stuff on my phone whilst cooking/cleaning. -although the home was very clean, I dont know if there was a previous guest with a dog before us but there was black dog hair everywhere on the floor and stuck to some plates and kept getting on us. So maybe giving it an extra clean when pet owners come is essential even though I have hoovered, mopped and cleaned everywhere. -if you are someone that constantly wants to visit places and see things, you have to travel quite far to do so.

The home is very lovely. It was nice and clean. The beds were very comfortable. If you have little children, the home is prepared with cots and a little matress for them. Decent amount of towels were provided. There were 4 of us and all of us got a large towel and a face towel each. The home is very well equipped with everything you need. The owner definitely takes pride in their home from what we saw. If you are looking for a nice, quiet place to enjoy your stay in, this home is the place to be.

The staircase was quite steep to negotiate with the bathroom downstairs. Not a problem until you get to a ‘certain age’ and need to get up during the night. It wouldn’t put us off from staying again now we know.

Lovely cottage and everything we needed. Very comfortable and well equipped. Easy to find and good parking. Bonus to have a boiler room next door for the fisherman to dry his waders! Owner was very attentive in making sure all was well.

There was very little to criticise! The only thing I would point out is the fast cars that pass the cottage, which was slightly worrying when leaving the property in the car or on foot. Other than that, perfect!

A beautiful stone cottage, thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. very well equipped, cosy and comfortable. I imagine it would be ideal at any time of year with its underfloor heating, log burners and also the garden. An excellent location for exploring a less well-known area of Wales.
