The room was tired in the decor department, albeit well equipped with en-suite, hospitality tray etc.

The public areas (bar, restaurant, reception) all exceeded expectation, with a warm and luxurious atmosphere. Food in the restaurant was very good at both dinner and breakfast. On site secure car parking was a bonus. the hotel is very well located to explore Stirling centre.

There a real bad smell in our floor when we arrived. It was was mostly gone later that day but still was very umpleasent. you can tell the age of the hotel and I don't expect it to be new and shiny, but I still think they can improve the guest experience with some basic additions like a bin in the bathroom or a glass to keep out toothbrush in.. small things I felt were missing

Excellent location to shops, train station and bus station..easy walk uphill to the castle and other attractions. Restaurant dinner was very good. Great staff and luggage storage was not a problem.

No WiFi access from the bedroom, public areas only. This was disappointing, particularly with work to do during my visit. Otherwise it was a convenient and comfortable stay.

Like most hotels currently it, felt a little run down and slightly shabby. There was no brush for the toilet, and one of the bulbs was popped, in the bathroom. Also I hate those self feed conveyor belt toasters, that take 4 passes to get half cooked toast.

Loved the room, it was very spacious and warm, and the staff were really helpful. The hotel is really central in the heart of Stirling, well within walking distance from the Station.

Our bedroom was a bit outdated, could do with a make over! very small TV on the wall. We were a bit disappointed due to the downstairs being so nice.

Public area's of the hotel are lovely very comfortable and welcoming! Lovely breakfast also had a meal in the evening which was also lovely and good choice. We would visit again!

Only couple of small gripes there was no plug socket next to bed so if had to charge anything couldn’t do it whilst keeping your device next to you Couldn’t watch anything on tv as the signal strength on every channel was weak which lead to the channels jumping or freezing

Good location close to railway station with plenty of places to eat and drink close by and there is also a nice bar and restaurant in the hotel Staff were very friendly and helpful

All the furnishings were very shabby and worn. However, if they renovated the whole hotel it would probably have cost a lot more for the room. The bed was a little uncomfortable for us. The bottom flat sheet didn't cover the mattress properly so the really old mattress cover was glaringly obvious. The comforter was pretty thin. There wasn't free wifi in the rooms, which was kind of inconvenient.

The hotel was fine for our one-night stay, with a reasonable price. They were very kind and helped us open the slanted transom window. The room was spacious with a couch and chairs. The bathroom was very good.

The room I had did not have an opening window and the air con was broken. For once, it was a very warm day and night in Stirling, so not good when trying to cool down.

They always serve up an excellent buffet breakfast, and are in a great location for the centre.
