Just a couple of small improvements would be, on the tables in the breakfast area maybe a menu with the other breakfast items on that were available and the price. I know they were on the wall but we had walked past it without noticing it the first couple of days. We did wonder if this was done like this because it was Christmas and they were keeping it simple. Had we really wanted to know we could have asked so it wasn’t a big deal! The only other thing l would say is that one of the bath towels we had was definitely past its best, it was so rough. I just swapped it with my husband’s but it wasn’t what you would expect. I don’t doubt for a moment though that had we asked it would have been changed. On the towel note, my elderly mother at 4ft 11in couldn’t reach the towels in her room and suggested that at least one is low down to start with.

The two rooms we had were excellent. Both were spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff (assuming they were staff and not the owners) were really friendly and helpful and certainly didn’t appear to begrudge the fact they were working at Christmas. We liked the fact the light breakfast was included in the room price.

Restaurant was a little lacking in atmosphere

We loved the food in the restaurant, and prices were great too. It was nice to have a light breakfast included in the price as I dont usually have breakfast.

Very comfortable bed in a warm, cosy and clean room. Great that it included a light breakfast but we couldn’t resist upgrading to the full English, as it was such a reasonable extra cost. Helpful and friendly staff.

Staff were really accommodating- stayed open for us to check in at 11.30pm after being delayed due to snow Unfortunately we couldn’t experience the hotel as we needed to leave early due to weather, however, it looked lovely and I would definitely rebook Nice clean room Excellent value

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

The staff were absolutely amazing, they went above and beyond for us to ensure our stay was as care free and comfortable as possible. We fell in love with this hotel to the point it is in our top 3 venues for our future wedding! The huts were spacious warm and welcoming inviting and the views were amazing.

My quilt fell off a couple of times but that was probably down to me tossing and turning and it wasn't a problem.

All went well, lovely room with great bathroom, excellent central heating and a superb breakfast served by a friendly, bubbly young lady. The breakfast itself is extremely good with what seems to be locally sourced bacon and sausages, all of the ingredients are superb including the toast with real butter. The location is great being close to town and yet in beautiful countryside and for added convenience there is a large Co oP a short drive away.

Parking was a bit difficult due to Wedding event. Also, no lighting in overflow car park which was down a steep incline and rather narrow.

Clean & comfortable room. Buffet breakfast included in price. Plenty of hot water and good heating in bedroom.

Cockerel or other farmyard animal crowing all night

Beautifully presented in a great location with amazing views. Comfortable bed in decent sized bedroom with modern bathroom. Basic breakfast included in the price which was a bonus. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I stayed at the Grains Bar because it was just an hour's drive away from Manchester Airport and I was flying the next day. The hotel is located just outside Oldham in a very pleasant rural setting. My (double) room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and all the amenities I needed. I particularly enjoyed the complimentary light breakfast although I can't say I enjoyed the loud music which accompanied it.
