How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Cant fault the place only suggestion is the rooms could do with being brought up to date but not essential.
Stayed lots of times previous, this time we wanted to use the leisure facilities and a night with a different scenery. Used the facilities excellent value, nice big room , big bathroom , right on the sea front. We paid a little extra for breakfast next morning. Plenty of choice good quality.

The pool was been repaired which we had not been aware off before check in and a room with a swimming pool was the reason I had booked the hotel

There wasnt anything in general that we could point out to say that we didnt like about the short experience we had..
The room and furnishing were nice and clean and up to date, the room was comfortable. The staff were friendly , helpful, polite giving a nice comfortable family like relaxing atmospher. even though our stay was only for one night, wevwould definitly stay again..

Sea view rooms are hit and miss sometimes you get a big room which is value for money. Sometimes you get a smaller room which is not value for money

Duvet on bed was as thin as a sheet, very cold at night! Breakfast was a tiny bit cold thats all the complaints from me otherwise a brill hotel would stay again!

Said a sea view room got a room looking onto the car park had one of them days and couldn't be bothered to go and complain Lady on pool reception rude like she didn't want to be there

The car park could benefit from more signs driving around the outside car park, not realising there is underground and inside car park
Location good, spotlessly clean, staff super friendly and very accommodating. Facilities were fantastic. Room very comfortable, Great shower. Didn’t try the restaurant as only here one night. We will definitely return when we are up visiting family.

we travel with our dog and hotels state they are dog friendly but we find that we are met with a no on a morning for breakfast.we dont mind sitting somewhere else but felt that it would have been nice to have had our breakfast table set for us as the hotel knew that we had a dog and had prebooked breakfast.there was also a discrepency about the bill when we checked in booking.com stated no charge for our dog and then we were charged 20 pounds.
the room with sea view was great and the added bonus of the swimming pool and steam room.breakfast was very good and plenty of choice.staff friendly and helpful and rooms very clean.

Our first night was very quiet and restful. However, the second night was very noisy with shouting and loud voices up to 4 o’clock in the morning. One male voice shouting very loudly on several occasions. I had to put earplugs in to try and sleep.

Just little thing like the room fridge not working. Two nights they didn't have one of the meals on the menu.
Breakfast was good, the set up could be better, ie at table pick up coffee cup go to flasks fill cup, walk across service area with hot coffee to fridge for milk if it's busy with people it's a bit dangerous.

It was adversely as 3 beds on Booking but you only get 2 beds. Manager was helpful and provided a third bed which was a wheel-along portable bed.
