Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomA proper full double bed. More modern /newer styling to the bedrooms. And there was some rubbish on floor when we went in so room had not been properly hoovered. There was no do not disturb sign for us to hang out.
Breakfast was exceptional for a hotel buffet style. Hot, fresh and with a selection of egg choices and other items to order available. One of the best hotel breakfasts I have had. Pool was nice, although the changing area quite small, and the steam room was not on. Food in bar was good. and staff in bar nice and friendly. Didn’t eat in the main restaurant so can’t say anything about that. Room was a little tired looking and quite dated. And bed seemed to be 2 singles put together to make a large double, so although comfy, there was the ‘ridge’ down the middle which is quite annoying.

However room 232 where we stayed the tv wouldn’t work (kept saying no signal), the room was boiling hot due to the radiators being on all the time with no way to turn them off. Furthermore the carpet wasn’t very clean and needed hoovering and also the sofa bed was so uncomfortable it couldn’t be slept on and i had to put the mattress from it on the floor to sleep.

They were very accommodating with when we arrived as it was midnight. I had rang them to say we were running late and they had someone there to meet us. The breakfast was really good, such a choice.

United KingdomThe bar could have been better stocked, and disappointingly skimpy eggs Benedict at breakfast. Limited menu in the restaurant if you were staying more than a couple of nights. Parking seemed a little chaotic, get there early! Very noisy at breakfast some other guests seeming to think we all wanted to hear their FaceTime call, though not a reflection of the hotel of course.
Great location and freshly decorated grand building. We were lucky to have one of the best rooms with superb views and well stocked coffee, tea, water, slippers etc. Friendly staff. Food was good value.

Expect old place but lots of character. Lovely views. Breakfast was crowded and lacking preparation for the amount of people who came to the meal. Next time stagger or prep more food for all. Pool was alot smaller than we thought too. But older building so not expecting top of line spa either. Overall very charming.

United KingdomThe hotel is of a traditional style and has recently decorated in light colours, so may not suit the minimalist taste. The sauna and steam needed turning on at reception first ( energy saving as quiet?) just an observation…not a problem for us.
Great location opposite train station and near to cafes and promenade.(used train to Ravenglass and also to Arnside for fish and chips and a drink in new bar Crossfields) very good choice at breakfast and options to order from a hot menu ( some items were a small charge and worth it) excellent service from the staff, who were all very friendly. Upgraded to much larger room :) excellent value for money, lovely 2 night break.

United KingdomLots and lots of squeaky fire doors. When in bed, do not like hearing someone from the adjoining room going to the toilet to the rear of of our bed head board. We tried our best to eat in the hotel bar. Please take this as constructive criticism: the bar area is aged. Once sat down in a sofa, it is hard to get back up again. The food was poor to OK, though the burger was good and the cauliflower steak appalling. The beers were good, but the wine was appalling and quite insulting. The bar personnel had no idea what wine was, but more importantly management should not be be putting staff in that position and offering such cheap and insipid wines, a complete turn off. The hotel could be so much better and if it were we would go regularly and recommend to all our friends and family.
