It was a shame the pool was closed.

The young man who checked me in was extremely friendly & helpful.The food was nice.The blond lady who was running the breakfast room was lovely.She even let me have a final coffee despite the fact everything was cleaned up.

Unfortunately the pool was out of use long term. I also think the price was a little expensive for the area/location. I would stay here again though.

I had a room with a nice view. Reception staff were nice and accommodating. I liked my room, it was bright and clean with good facilities in it. The biscuits with the tea and coffee were a nice touch.

There was no AC or ventilation, and the room was too warm. The bathroom seemed a bit on the older side (though still clean).

Beds were comfy, the bar was good, staff were helpful. The room and bathroom were clean.

In my room (314), there was a malfunction in the shower (could only use the bathtub tap, and not change to the shower hose). There was also some minor clicking coming from the radiator that was a bit annoying nighttime. Is it possible to get some more vegan/vegetarian alternatives for food (breakfast, main course’s…etc)?

The shower water temperature and pressure need patience. The temperature takes a few seconds to adjust when changed, and the pressure will go low during that time. Not a real problem. Just listing it so that others will know to be patient. Also, someone was smoking weed. Not the hotels fault, but it was a bad surprise. The smell permeated the entire hall and room.

The front desk lady was very well informed, patient and kind. Housekeeping cleaned the room and restocked the coffee area, without us having to request it. Large, adjacent, parking lot. Parking was included, no additional fee.

My WiFi and Internet connection very slow

Breakfast and evening meal were really good breakfast in particular freshly cooked and hot. Staff were friendly and chatty and communal area comfortable.

The hot water to the bath and wash hand basin is horrendously and dangerously HOT HOT HOT! They will injure someone or even kill someone. They must install temperature contriol so that the maximum is 45C and certainly no more than 49C where the skin starts to get damaged. The Hot water was scalding and well above 49C. The load required to opern the bedroom door was 13Kg - should be no more than 3Kg (I had the tool to measure it) Far to much food for evening meals. 50% went to wste. A German couple asked "are we meant to eat all of it?" they too wasted 50% of the food served up. Make the plates smaller and the portions smaller. Staff on the main desk were not chatty / friendly. Could do with seeing how the staff at Heart of England are friendly / chatty. The swimming pool was closed for refurbishment!

My only dissatisfaction was, as with a lot of weekend stop overs is that management shouldn't assume everybody likes football.There were several tv's located, and every one of them had football on,that spoilt our night in the bar area so went to our room,only to find at breakfast more sports on tv.

This time I chose a discount room that I found a little small. Also being diabetic I decided against the temptations of their lovely breakfasts. Would be nice if they had a breakfast more dedicated for people with low sugar requirements.

All was good.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful especially within the restaurant. They were very good at finding something for me to eat as I am vegan and have to have gluton free food, and the meal was very good.

The pool was closed and we weren’t informed before or in check in. One of our party even got changed and went to use it before finding out. In the Saturday night there was also a disturbance in a room and one of our party was in the room next to it and didn’t sleep because of it and having to give details of what she had heard to the police.
