Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomMy ONLY suggestion would be a full length mirror in the bedroom for getting ready. But that would be nit picking, it was a perfect stay.
Loved everything! Our room was huge and light with lovely furniture and a very comfy bed. Nice big bath and a nicely decorated bathroom. Big TV which had lots of channels, even Sky. Room was really clean and well kept. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, lots to choose from. We had a full English which included cerals, fresh fruit and homemade banana and blueberry muffins with fresh orange juice. It was my birthday so Liz and Stephen bought my breakfast out with a candle in the sausage singing happy birthday, how sweet and thoughtful! Both were so friendly, chatty and interesting and recommended lots of activities local to the b&b. I highly recommend a stay here there are only a couple of rooms to book so it didn't feel at all busy. We will definitely return if we are staying in the area again in future.

United KingdomI am both gluten free and vegetarian. The breakfast options on offer were fabulous. Homemade quince preserve for the yoghurt; best homemade Boston Beans .. avocado and perfect poached egg on toast with chives and flowers .. And the warm chat - it was a shame I had to rush off!

Steve and Liz were welcoming and lovely. The B&B was in a beautiful location and really comfortable and ideal for walking to the Cotswold Distillery. The restaurant 10 mins down the road at the golf course was also lovely! But the biggest selling point really is the hospitality and friendliness from the hosts. They take the time to get to know you and nothing is to much trouble.

United KingdomWe cannot thank Steve and Lizzy enough for the incredible hospitality they showed during our stay in the Cotswolds. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed. Their wealth of knowledge about the area was obvious and they recommended some great spots that we would not have known about otherwise. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast prepared with care with the best ingredients - will truly miss the bacon and home made beans! They were also very kind to drive us to the local pub so we could celebrate our anniversary - Lizzy was very thoughtful and made some delicious muffins for us to celebrate! Steve and Lizzy went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of our visit was enjoyable, and they were unbelievably kind! If you're looking for a cozy retreat in the Cotswolds with hosts who truly care, look no further than Greenhill Farm Barn BnB. Five stars simply aren't enough to express our gratitude!

United KingdomNothing really, but I can see that some people might find it odd to not have a lock on the door of the room, or the en suite.
Clean and comfortable room, host Lizzy was very helpful and informative, the attention detail was great, making sure in particular that I had gluten free biscuits and gluten free options for breakfast, even opening fresh jam and butter / packaged sugar as I’m Coeliac to prevent cross contamination risks. Don’t think I’ve ever been so well catered for with an overnight stay, I usually travel with my own food.

Steven and Lizzie are excellent hosts. They are very friendly and knowledgeable and are more than happy to answer any questions or give recommendations. Very comfortable bed and a lovely cosy room. Our bathroom was separate but was only next door and we were the only ones using it so no problems there. I can see why people rave about breakfast. Lizzie's homemade jams are super yummy especially the quince and also rhubarb and ginger.
